A Study partner.

I'm awoken by my dorm mate Charlie going though her clothes trunk.

"What's up Charlie?" I ask yawning.

"I'm trying to find my notes on defence spells, she say throwing old textbooks over shoulder.

"You want to look over my notes Cedric and I studied the other day?" I suggest leaving my warm comfortable bed.

"Yes please, oh and how is the whole Cedric thing?" She teased, "I was so sure he would of not spoke to you again after hearing you call him handsome"

"It's going fine..." I answer softly, I don't think is a good idea to tell Charlie that I admitted to Cedric that I find him attractive as she needs to focus on herself for once.

"Got any plans to see him today?" She winked

"I don't know, I don't want to distract him before the tournament." I sigh going through my trunk to find my notebook

"Oh because you're so distracting" she teased posing in a flirtatious way, I throw my pillow at her in response

"Come on we need to get to the library before all the seat near the defence section are gone" I say changing into fresh clothes.
We leave our dorm swiftly and mange to find seat close to the defence and mythical creatures section, Charlie sit at the old worn desk and look through the note I've gathered, while I study a book about merpeople, gnomes, fairies and Dragons from a nearby trolley.

Charlie look at the title of the book I'm reading,
"You don't think I'll have to face dragon during the tournament, do you?" She asks worryingly

"Who knows what you'll face, so it's best to be prepared for anything" I suggest giving her a comforting smile.

We sit in silence reading and taking notes, which feels strange and new as Charlie usually is chatting away about unimportant things, like her crushes, famous wizard musician Harry ciles or Draco Malfoy. But for the first time in the 6 years I've known her not making a single noise.

Time slowly passes and we've finished multiple books on spells and creatures, I'm make my way to the defensive spells and charms aisle grab more books.

"I've finally found you, (y/n)" a familiar husky voice chimes behind me, I turn quickly and is greeted with Cedric's warming welcoming smile

"Here I am" I giggle flustered.

"Are you with Charlie by the chance? I have something to tell you both" He suggest shyly with a faint glow in him cheeks.

"Yeah I am, I'm helping her study for the tournament," I replie "come I'll take you to her"

"Lead the way (y/n)" chimed Cedric smiling deeply. I gesture him to follow after me with a smile and we reach the table in no time, Charlie still sitting there deeply focused on her study.

"Hey Charlie" I say giving her a little shake "Cedric has something to tell us"

"What's up" she slowly replies looking up from her book

"I thought you should read this" Cedric suggested pulling a book out of his brown saddle bag. Charlie takes it from him and look through the pages

"The History of Dragons?" I say reading the title out load while looking over Charlie's shoulder

"Yes its REALLY important to know about DRAGONS" Cedric states focusing on the importance of his wording. Charlie gives Cedric a forced smile

"Thank Cedric, I'll read it right away" Charlie finishes tapping her leg faster then before.

Cedric and I leave her to read about dragons at the old table,

"I think you're really sweet for helping Charlie with the trials." Cedric whispers to be as we walk side by side through the library.

"I could say the same thing to you," I whisper back feel a blush grow on my cheek "Just by stopping by and telling her what she facing tomorrow has given her a better chance of coming out alive"

"Honestly Harry told me it's going to be dragons, but I did think that I should tell Charlie as this could seriously help her prepare for tomorrow" Cedric confessed "I also just wanted to see you" he whispers as his cheeks blushes

"I wanted to see you too" I whisper back looking at the floor, feeling flustered.
We continue walking through the library inches away from each other, Cedric extends his pinkie and brushes it against mine, I look up at him, he smirks at me letting his dimples form making my heart race and my stomach fill with butterflies, I tease him back by caressing his hand lightly and quickly.

I'm shocked when I've noticed how far we have travelled when we reach the library entry, most students have left and those around are to busy studying to acknowledge their surroundings. I notice out of the corner of my eye Cedric's group of friend in their quidditch uniforms, speed walking through the hall.

"Follow me" Cedric whispers in my ear noticing his friends too, he grabs lightly onto my hand leading me to area of book where not many students go, the herbology section.

"They won't find us here" Cedric sighs looking around. I look down, flustered by how close we are are when I notice that are fingers are still intertwined

"Oh shit, sorry" he shambles quickly letting go of my hand

"It's fine Cedric," I whisper intertwining our finger once more "I like this..." I whisper blushing harder then I've have before

"(Y/N)..." Cedric whispers in my ear, his thumb softly caress the back of my hand moving ever so slowly "I like this too" he chuckles softly

"I wish we could stay like this for longer but I have to help Charlie prepare and you have quidditch practice and have to prepare for tomorrow, I really shouldn't keep you any longer" I deeply sigh

"I'll see you tomorrow before the trial" Cedric asks looking deeply into my (eye colour) eyes

"Of course Cedric," I giggle slowing letting go of his hand "sleep well, you will need it." I finish, I leaveing him to find Charlie

"You too (y/n)" He smirks giving me a small wave.
