I'm In Love With Cedric Diggory ~ Cedric X Reader

The Tri-Wizard Champions.

Thursday night came around, Charlie and I made our way to the Great Hall discussing who we believe would be a perfect champion for the tournament.

We sit at our house's table and join the conversation about the Tri-wizard tournament, Charlie glances at me signaling me to look at something with her. Follow her gaze and witness a Slytherin girl named Emma trying to flirt with Draco Malfoy, from His appearance he couldn't be less interested about what the blonde girl was saying. Draco's eyes dart up meeting Charlie's they both retreat their gazes, the brief moment of contact leaves Charlie and Draco bright red.
Out of the corner of my eye I see Cedric take a seat not far from where we have sat.

"Sit down please. And the moment you've been waiting for, the Champions selection!" Roared Dumbledore as he approached the goblet, the blue flames turn a glowing red and spits put a piece of paper with the name of the first champion.

"The Dumstrang Champion is... Viktor Krum!" The crowd of Dumstrang students cheer while the goblet's fire turns red again spitting out another piece of paper.

"The Champion from Beauxbatons... Fleur Delacour!" The Beauxbatons girls cheer as Fleur makes her way up to the front of the hall, The Goblet's blue fire turns red the last time spitting out the final Champion's paper.

Dumbledore clears his throat,
"The Hogwarts Champion... Cedric Diggory!" I quickly look over to Cedric with a large smile, I cheer for him along side my pupils, he gives me a shy smile while standing, he makes his way to the front of the hall, gently brushing his pinky on my back as he past without anyone noticing.

Dumbledore signals everyone to be quiet.
"Excellent! We now have our three Champions, but in the end only one will hoist this chalice of champions, this vessel of victory the Tri-wizard cup!" As Dumbledore spoke the blue fire inside the goblet had turned red once again, this time spitting two pieces of paper out, Dumbledore catches and reads out the papers, "Harry potter, Charlie Crowe!"

I look over at Charlie whose in a state of shock. I give a shake and she snaps out of her trance.

"Charlie Crowe, Harry Potter!" Dumbledore roared once more, Charlie stand before Harry and sheepishly makes her way to the stage. Harry follows while students from the crowd shout out at him.

"He's a cheat! He's not even seventeen yet" shouted the student.

Charlie wouldn't of put her name into a tournament like this, she doesn't unnecessary risk. I look around the Great Hall as I am now alone. I see Emma whispering to another Slytherin girl named Saffron, I think back to the times when Charlie has had a bad experience with Emma due to the fact they both like Draco.

Time Skip

I make my way to the dorm In hopes that Charlie would be there as she didn't return back to the Great Hall.
I open the door to the common room distracted by my thoughts only coming back to reality when I smack into a firm manly chest, making me lose my balance grabbing onto the student's shirt.
"Oh Merlin's beard, I'm so sorry" I say regaining my footing, I look up and is greeted with Cedric's handsome face, I blush in embarrassment.

"Let's be real (Y/N) we have to stop meeting like this," He chuckles under his breath "I'm afraid you'll hurt yourself" he finishes.

I pull my hand away from his shirt,
"What can I say Cedric, your like a magnet" I joke. He smiles sweetly, "Oh I almost forgot, Congratulations on becoming a tri-wizard champion"

"Thanks" he says awkwardly

"Anyway I've got to find Charlie, have you seen her?" I ask looking behind him.

"Yes, actually I think she gone back to the dorm" he replies while looking deeply into my eyes.

"I should go see her, once again congrats on becoming a tri-wizard champion and sorry for running into you." I walking past him into the common room. He smiles in response.

"Any time (Y/N)" he laughed.

I enter my dorm where I find Charlie sitting on the hard wood floor near her bed.

"Charlie?" I ask trying to get her attention, "did you put your name into the goblet?" I ask sitting down next to her.

"I didn't, you believe me right (Y/N)" Charlie replied putting her hand on my knee.

"I believe you Charlie, you always told be there things are unnecessary and ridiculous" I cup her hand in mine, "how did your name end up in the goblet?" I finish.

"I don't know, I told Dumbledore that I didn't enter my name into the goblet of fire, but they told me that any name that comes out of the goblet must participate." Charlie finished she covers her face with her free hand and I pull her into a big hug.

"It's going it be alright Charlie I'll help as much as I can with the challenges." I replie hoping to make her feel better.

"Thanks (Y/N), I don't know how I would do this without you" she finishes hugging me back.
