I'm In Love With Cedric Diggory ~ Cedric X Reader

A Question.

I pace around the dorm, Charlie following after me.

"Charlie, Tell what happened out there?" I asked rubbing my hands over my fave into my hair. She sits on my bed and laughs obnoxiously.

"Oh Merlin, you called Cedric Diggory Handsome and ran off like a frighten Flobberworm" she continued slapping the bed in response, "It was bloody funny"

"Stop it's not freaking funny" I replie kicking her in the leg, "he's going to think I'm a weirdo now"

Charlie laughs and makes her way over to her desk, I quickly change out of my robes and white button down into a black singlet pulling a light blue sweater over the top and quickly get into my bed, hoping to forget the experience I just had.

"Oh, good night (Y/N) have sweet dreams of Mr. Handsome" Charlie chimed doing a kissy face. I give her a sour stare and roll over facing away from her, I close my eyes hoping t drift into a deep sleep.

(Time Skip)

I wake up from a tap at my dorm's window. I look over to see an unfamiliar owl, I quickly get up from my bed trying not to wake up Charlie.

"Hello Handsome, who do you belong too?" I say patting the brown feathers of the owl. I gentlely take the letter from the owl and it flies off. (Y/N) (L/N) written of the front of the envelope in perfect writing. I open the letter trying not to break the envelope.
"Who is that from?" Asked Charlie sitting up on her bed.
I open the letter and read the delicate writing.

"'Dear (Y/N) regarding our conversation yesterday, I wanted to ask if you would like to research the Tri-wizard tournament in the library with me today?
From Cedric Diggory'

"It's from Cedric, he wants to research the tournament with me at the library" I say looking at Charlie with a shocked expression.

"I would of thought you scared him off with the way you acted yesterday" she joked

"Don't remind me." I replie changing out of my PJs into a Clean black sweater and jeans.

"Are you really going to "research" with him in the library?" Charlie questions.

"Of course I'm going to research the Tri-wizard tournament with him" I say rolling my eyes at her, I grab my saddle bag which always has a spare note book, quill and ink and leave the dorm room.

I make my way to the library where I find Cedric sitting alone at a table, I slowly make my way over to him putting my bag on the table, he looks up from the book he is reading and smiles at me a perfect display of his heart warming dimples. I blush.

"(Y/N) I'm glad you made it" said Cedric while pulling the chair beside him out from under the table, "I was going to ask you yesterday but my friends pulled me way before I could."

"Well thanks for inviting me." I say sitting down next to him. "What you reading?" I ask changing the topic.

"Oh, it's a list of magical events that took part in past Tri-wizard tournament." He continues while passing me the book.

"Any good information?" I ask scanning the back.

"Some, just information about magical creatures, but I did see a pattern with mermaids" he says while brushing a loose hair behind his ear. "I thought maybe that it could be because the black lake is so close to the school."

I scan him, he sits there looking flawless, his hair messy brown hair, a large mustard yellow sweater with his Hufflepuff scarf. He looks over at me and smiles at me making me retreat my gaze.

"So should we research magical creatures and spell that can help with dealing with them?" I ask trying not to sound like an idiot, he smiles a warm and welcoming smile, he stands and offers me his hand, I take it and follow after him. He leads me to the magic creatures section of the library.

"Oh sorry" he says awkwardly while letting go of my hand. "I wasn't thinking" he finishes while running his hand though his hair.
I look away, scanning book titles flustered from the feeling of his strong but soft hand on mine.

Time past while we scan books exchanging useful information and ideas.

"(Y/N) can I ask you a question?" Cedric states while putting a book down.

"Yes of course Cedric" I replie turning the page I finished reading over.

"About last night" he say softly "did you mean what you said?" He grabs softly at his hair and looks up at me.
I look away flustered, I scan around the room looking for a different topic.

"Oh, Cedric how was your Quidditch practice last night?" I blurted out with out thinking.

"Please (Y/N) don't dodge my question." Replied Cedric "did you mean what you said?" He finished

"I meant what I said, i really do think you will be champion of the Tri-wizard tournament, I really do think you will win."

He chuckles under his breath.
"Not that" he blushes

"Do you think I meant it?" I say closing the book, I look up and notice how late the time has become. I look back at Cedric who was still thinking, I start to pack up my stuff and leave with Cedric on my heel.

"Please (Y/N) tell me" he playfully responses.
I look back at him with a smile but I don't replie. We continue walking to the common room, Cedric continually teasing me with the same question.

We enter the common room and I stop in the middle of the common room where I trun and face Cedric.

"Please, did you mean what you said?" Cedric asked one last time.
I look into his thoughtful grey eyes and I smile, I slowly make my way to my dorm, looking back at Cedric who still in the common room watching me.

"Yes, Cedric I meant what I said" I whisper softly so only he could hear. I enter the hallway to my dorm my cheeks glowing a perfect shade of rose.
