I'm In Love With Cedric Diggory ~ Cedric X Reader

A Hint.

Cedric's thumb gently brushes against my jawline as our lips continue to embrace. He shift softly using his free hand to push down against the brown medbay bed, he effortlessly holds his upper body up and closer to me, as my hands travel lightly along his toned back. Cedric's lips travel down from my lips to my neck, he softly kisses me all over, making my innocent heart race. Before Cedric could travel down any further Charlie burst through the medbay entrance making both of us jump.

"Oh my Merlin!" Charlie states pointing her finger back and forth at Cedric and I,
"So this is what going to happens when leave you two alone for a minute? Am I gonna have to have "THE TALK" with you (Y/N)?" Charlie asks with a serious expression on her freckled face, I cover my tomato of a face with my hands to avoid looking anyone in the eyes.

"What's all this yelling about?" A nurse questions sticking her head into the room,
"It's nothing Miss, everything is all right." Cedric answer quickly before Charlie could embarrass me any further.
"Girls visiting time is finished, all this excitement won't help Mr Diggory recover any faster." The nurse continues bring more potions and herbs into the tent, I nod in a agreement to the nurse, quickly grabbing Charlie and our bags, I look back a Cedric as we leave the tent, he flashs a playful smile and a quick wave.

"So?" Charlie winks at me as we walk back to our dorm room.

"Stop looking at me like that, you're embarrassing me." I quickly turn my flushed face away from her as the memories of her walking in on Cedric and I snogging are still to fresh for me to handle.

"Are you going to ditch me and go with Cedric to the Yule ball?" She asks wrapping her freckled covered arms around me and pouting her heart shaped lips,

"Oh shit, the Yule ball!" I forceful stop making Charlie's short body almost fall over, "I totally forgot about the ball" I add, stabling Charlie once more.

"Relax bestie," she smiles linking her arm though mine "we still got time, my mum sent me a couple dress and I know for a fact you can pull off any thing you wear." My racing thoughts are instantly eased at the sound of Charlie's laughter and reassurance,

"Oh Charles what am I going to do without you" I sigh resting my head against her shoulder as we make our way into the Hufflepuff common room.

When we finally enter we find the common room filled with all the Hufflepuffs, our friends goes wild with cheers at the sight of one of their tri-wizard champion, Charlie pulls her golden egg out of her wrinkled bag and raises it to the roof making the crowd go mental once more.

"Open it Charles," I whisper giving her a light nudge "get the hint for the next trial."
She nods and turns the hatch that is keeping the egg closed, suddenly a ear piercing shrieking releases from the egg filling the small common room, everyone covers their ears in defence and Charlie quickly close it back up,

"Merlin, what was that?" She mumbles staring at me. The crowd remain silent and some still shield their ears.

"All right everyone time for bed, our champion must be exhausted from their first trial and must have alot of preparing for the next." Professor Sprout commands clapping her wrinkled hands several times.

In our dorm Charlie studies the egg very closely, her glasses barely miss touching the gold exterior,

"Charlie you're going to hurt your eyes if you continue," I remind her, she slowly moves the egg way from her speckled face and sits at a old wooden desk,

"I don't understand (Y/N), how is this a hint?" She whines shaking the egg violently, "It's just loud screeching, how is that helpful?"

"Maybe we haven't opened it correctly," I suggest scanning though the notes Cedric and I made "maybe there is more to it then just opening it?"

"Maybe," she softly replies changing into fresh pjs "Let's figure it out tomorrow, I'm stuffed." She yawns crawing into her cosy bed.

"Goodnight Tri-Wizard champion," I smile closing my book "I love you homie, sweet dreams."

"I love you more homie" she whispers quickly falling asleep.

{Time skip}

The early morning sun shines on my face waking me up, I roll over and see Charlie sitting at her worn desk going through the note Cedric and I collected together, she studies the page then the golden egg going back and forth between the two items.

"Good morning, did you sleep well Charles?" I ask stretching and carelessly kicking myself free from my blanket,

"Morin," Charlie quickly replies looking back at me "That was probably one of the best sleeps of my life," she laughed

"Are my notes helping" I ask jumping from my bed

"Um.. a little, I'm trying to figure out what's making the awful noise" She states stretching in her seat

"Any thought yet on what magical creature makes that noise?" I ask leaving my warm bed

"

Not yet" Charlie replies sadly "We should go visit Cedric, having his input would help alot"
I nod happily, as I quickly change into clean clothes and grab my notebook, as Charlie packs up her messy notes and golden egg into a bag, we leave our quiet common room and make our way quickly to medical wing, to Cedric.

Cedric's face lights up when he notices us,
"(Y/N)!" He calls out waving us over. I practically bounce over to him, failing to hide my smile, "Thank Merlin you came, I've been so bored here" he smiles sitting up from his medical bed

"How are your burns going?" I ask looking over he bandaged limbs

"It's healing great," he chuckles "Nurse Pomfrey said I could leave this afternoon."

"That's amazing" Charlie adds putting her hand on my shoulder "I'm still baffled on how I'm not in one of these beds" she jokes looking around the room, "anyway have you had the chance to look at your golden egg?"

"I have, someone actually told me to open it underwater" he answer softly

"Underwater?" I ask puzzled, "You up for a trip to the lake Charles?" I ask turning to Charlie who looks as confused as me

"There's only one way to find out" she shrug, "thanks Cedric, you have been such a big help"

"Anything for a fellow Hufflepuff" Cedric smiles

We say our goodbyes to Cedric leaving him to rest.
Charlie and I slowly make our way to the black Lake to try what Cedric suggested,

"What do you think going to happen when it's in water?" Charlie ask linking her arm with mine

"I'm not sure" I sigh resting my head against her

"Hopefully it doesn't explodes" she giggles her joy so contagious I can't help but join in.

"We will see" I smile widely enjoying her company
