The sound of heels against the marble floor echoes around the empty grand hall except for the person seating on a throne like chair and the approaching woman in her early twenties. Striding in her slow cat walks she approach the person seating and knelt down on one knee. Her crimson slits stared at the person who she adored and hailed for a very long time.
“A pleasant evening don’t you think my lord?”
“I would rather hear what you are going to fill me when I was asleep than talking about how pleasant the night is.”
“Of course, should I begin from fifty years ago?”
“I don’t mind where you start.”
“Well as far as these years pass by, my lord. The world didn’t change that much. Humans still roam free oblivious of our existence. While our kin continues to hunt only at night in fear to be killed by those organization mortals.”
“What organization?”
“Hunters. They call themselves Blood Hunters my lord. Their sole existence is to exterminate us and free this world from your clutches.” She sneered at the thought. “They seem to believe that they can kill us.”
“Indeed they can.”
“Pardon?” her head snap up to stare at her lord, disbelieving. “They, they are just filthy humans!”
“They are indeed but if they gain some asset. Some strange asset somewhere in Transylvania then we seems to have our hands full in this generation.” Upon his affirmation the woman could not believe his words. Yet since it came from his mouth then there is no lie in it.
“What, what asset?”
“Do you want to hear a story? Well, it’s not a long story to take your time that much but this will fill you up in some of your history.” Her lord laughs, voice echoed around the hall. “Would you like to?” raising both brows her lord watch her carefully.
“Uhm…” the woman look somewhere else not even sure what to do. As much as she praises her lord there are more important things that she must do.
“Name has power, remember that Wilhelm.” A woman in her early twenties walks in the great hall as her raven waist-length hair sway in a hypnotizing way.
“Ah, my dear Rosetta how long I have been asleep that I’ve missed your beauty?”
“Not too long, well I’ve awaken five years earlier than you though.” She glances at the other woman with her crimson slits. “You, leave and gather some of the low breeds and head to Transylvania.”
“Do you think the mortals were able to dig it up?” he asked looking amused.
“There’s no harm in making sure Wilhelm. After all if they were able to dig it up then were probably in the end of our lines.”
“Oh? You still think that we – no but rather I, do not stand a chance against the first generation?”
“I do not doubt you Wilhelm but a precaution was never been a bane in one’s life.”
“You must have forgotten,” rising from his chair he treads slowly towards Rosetta, eyeing her closely. “I was the one who lock it up from the first place.” He bares his fangs at her. “And I was the one who freed you all from that curse.”
