'I didn't do anything'

Marinette's POV

The next day when I got to school I got death stares from everyone. I didn't do anything. Maybe I should try and talk to Adrien again today, maybe he'll listen to me.

I walked into class and immediately see Lila sitting next to Adrien clinging onto his arm. Except he didn't look very happy about it, I saw him look at me gently for a second before Lila whispered something in his ear and that gentle look turned dark. Sadly I trudged to the back of the class and there I cried for the rest of class.
Adrien's POV
I was sitting in class with Lila practically ripping off my arm when I heard Marinette come through the door she looked like she'd been crying all night. I just wanted to go up to her and kiss her again but I think Lila saw my face so she whispered in my ear more stuff about her. Instantly I went back to hating her. I just wish that it was Marinette beside me instead of Lie-la. Then I just realised that I never even considered Marinette's side of the story, maybe I'll ask her after class.
After class I went up to her and said, "Hey I'm really sorry but can you tell me your side of the story because I don't know if I can believe Lila?" I saw hope in her eyes when I said that, maybe I could believe her. "S...sure umm we might need to go somewhere more private for this."                   "Of course." I agreed. We walked to the janitors closet in complete silence and it was soo awkward. "Okay so heres the truth," She breathed out, "I've had a crush on you since sophmore year, you were always so nice to me unlike Luka and I know you think all I'm saying is a lie because of Lila but it's not , it's not me who wants you for your money it's Lila I overheard her talking about it on her phone to someone. Now everyone hates me for something I never did and so do you. The worst part is that I think I'm falling in love with you!" I couldn't believe what I was hearing. She actually really loves me, for me. It felt like deja-vu because of the time in her bedroom, but this was better. "I love you too, I'm so sorry for believing Lila, I just thought it was too good to be true that someone really loved me and ..." She cut me off with a kiss and it felt amazing. "Although I would love to continue this we need to get to class before someone notices we're gone." Ugh all I wanted to do was kiss her again but she was right. We walked to class hand in hand, with me smiling from ear to ear. I saw the expression on Lila's face and it was priceless, I could hear Marinette giggling at it and I just smirked. "Umm Adrien what are you doinng with her." Lila said seething. "Well Lie-la I actually heard Marinettes side of the story and you're the one who is using me for my money and looks, Marinette actually loves me for me unlike you. You're the liar!" I shouted. With that Marinette and I left class and spent the rest of the day at her house. Reminiscing when we used to go to school.
