Flashback, Demi's POV
Gracen woke me up last night around midnight. Opening my eyes I seen my beautiful, sweet daughter standing by the bed with her blanket she stole from me in her hands. With tears in her eyes. I instantly sat up.
"Momma, I don't want you to leave.. I.. what if.." she sniffled out quietly. I pulled her into my arms and brushed her hair out of her face.
"Baby, just breathe remember. It's okay, you can tell momma anything. Just tell me what's going on in that pretty little head of yours."
I gave her a minute and tried to calm her down. I felt her fingers playing in the ends of my hair.
"You remember when you first left? When you sang our song?" I nodded softly. "And you told us you'd always come back? Your always gonna come back right? You promised. Now your my Momma. And I don't want you to leave because.. I always want you to come back Momma." Gracen quietly said. As I ran my fingers through her hair I decided to be as honest with my daughter as I could. Because that's what parents do right?
"Gracie Bell, you know I love singing songs right?" I felt her nod her head. "It's my job. And as you get older you should always find something that makes you happy, and that you love to do. Because then you'll never work. But so many things come with my job. Leaving never used to bother me." I felt her hands wrap tighter around me.
"But since meeting you and my mom, leaving is the worst. It makes me sick. And I even cry! As soon as I get on the plane I go straight to the bathroom. Because I end up crying. I don't like leaving you or your mom. But I promise you. I will always come back to you. I will always answer your calls. I don't care if I'm in the middle of a concert. I'll FaceTime you through the whole thing if I have to! Because as much as I love my job. I love my daughter more. And you my sweet babe are my whole entire world."
Gracen looked up at me and smiled. "Your our world too Momma. But.. can I.." she stopped talking slowly.
"Can you what honey?"
"Since your leaving in the morning can I sleep in here with you?" I smiled and kissed her head. Pulling her over between her mom and I noticed my girlfriend slightly scoot over. She must've been awake. I knew for sure when she put her arm around Gracen and grabbed my hand and softly whispered "I love you babes."
Three Days Later, Demi's POV
I was doing an outfit change when Kelsey rushed in with my phone in her hand laughing.
"Okay Gracie Bell Mommas here, you be good okay and don't forget to finish that book!" Kelsey handed me my phone smiling.
"Hey babe, whatcha doin?" I asked my daughter as I slid out of my costume into another one.
"I just wanted to tell you that Mommy burned the cookies! We were watching Sonny With A Chance because she's never seen it and we forgot the cookies!" I rolled my eyes hoping she didn't notice.
"Baby! You weren't supposed to show Mommy! That's embarrassing." Gracen laughed her perfect laugh.
"But your funny Momma. We love you though! I know you have to go back. Mommy said call us when you get done!"
"Demi 5 minutes." I heard my stage manager say.
"Gracie Bell you wanna go on stage with me? I'll sing your song to you!"
I knew the answer as soon as I asked. They way her eyes lit up was priceless. Making my way to the stage I turned my phone around when I got there.
