Crazy Fan Attacks Rockstar

In a strange and frightening turn of events, the lead singer of Ctrl+S, Sarawat Guntithanon, was attacked by a star-crazed fan yesterday.

The unidentified fan, a young woman in her late teens to early twenties, broke the barricade at a fan meet at the Iconsiam last evening and ran towards the popular youth icon.

When she was stopped by Sarawat's staff before she could reach him, she became enraged and began screaming expletives, claiming that the lead singer and guitarist was her "destined love".

When the rockstar's staff tried to remove her from the scene, she produced a knife from her person and flung it at a shocked and disconcerted Sarawat.

A note attached to the knife read "Be mine or die". The fan herself escaped in the ensuing pandemonium and the police is said to be on the lookout.

Sarawat's growing popularity among the youth, with his musical talent and ethereal good looks, has led to a more militant sub-section of fans who have been resorting to ever more disturbing ways of gaining their idol's attention.

One may remember the regrettable incident earlier this year when aggressive fans chased his car on the National Highway, almost leading to an accident. The incident had prompted Sarawat to issue a public request to his fans to stop endangering their own lives and that of others.

Ctrl+S's management has released a statement saying that the band will be on a few weeks' hiatus before leaving on their world tour.

Rumours suggest that Sarawat will be spending his break in an undisclosed location following yesterday's attack, until investigations have been concluded.

Sarawat leaned back into the deep arm-chair with a sigh. He stretched his long limbs luxuriously and ran his fingers through his hair.

"I feel like I'm being punished for something I didn't even do" he said, frowning at his manager, Man.

"It's for your own safety, Wat. And Dim's private island is a tropical paradise. I've been there once and the property is beautiful, well-equipped with state of the art amenities and is extremely comfortable.

I've given the staffing contract to an extremely reliable private agency. They cater exclusively to celebrities and are known for their professionalism and discretion.

You will be free to do what you want and won't lack for anything there" said Man, soothingly.

Wat nodded. "I'll call P'Dim and thank him personally as well" he said.

Dim owned the record label that had signed up Ctrl+S when they were a small college band that no one knew about.

Dim hadn't become a multi-millionaire, multi-platinum record producer by working only with big names. He had a knack for spotting talent and The Next Big Thing.

"You should have just joined the family business like I asked you to, son" said Wat's father, folding up his copy of the Economic Times. Benjy Guntithanon, billionaire industrialist and philanthropist, stood up and dusted his jacket.
