"It's been Damn near two months. That girl ain't fa me no more." He shrugged, going over to the refrigerator.

"Nigga you been moping since y'all broke up."

"I ain't been moping. I been getting money and minding my business. I ain't got time nor do I care to be moping around behind some female." He shrugged, opening up his Gatorade.

"You ain't been going nowhere. You been depressed." Kim spoke up.

"Depressed about what? I broke up with her. I was tired of feeling like I was just ha lil toy. That shit wasnt sitting right with me."

To be honest Kiari did miss Sade, but he wasnt depressed. He just had his mind set on one thing.

Money.

If he wasn't making money he was in the house sleep. He was getting better at not violating his parole. He was actually making clean money. He had gotten a job at a warehouse.

Which he didn't mind doing, since he was recovered he had just been saving and being a better him.

Yes he loves Sade, but he wasn't bout to keep breaking his neck to make sure she was straight when all she did was push him away and brush him off.

He didn't like that especially since he was open to her. He never really kept anything from her unless her didn't feel like talking about it. But eventually he found himself opening up to her so she won't be somewhere confused on why he wasn't talking to her.

He just wished she could've at least talked to him.

He couldn't even lie. He missed talking to her, though she was stubborn, rude and always had something to say she was a good person to talk to and he missed their conversations. Just her presence was enough.

Knowing she was there was enough for him. Even if they didn't talk everyday. It was enough.

He just missed having somebody there for him. Even if they weren't there all the way.

"I'm good. I been doing what I got to do."

"I'm proud of you, you and Sam. Very proud of yall."

"You talked to Sade?" Kiari asked June.

"Yup, her birthday is tomorrow."

Kiari nodded his head before taking a bite out of his burger.

"You gon call and tell her happy birthday?" Kim asked him.

"Nope."

"How come? Just cause y'all broken up don't mean you have to be bitter."

"Bitter about what? There is nothing really to be bitter about. I ain't talked to that girl since we called it quits."

"Yall was so cute." Kim sighed.

"Things happen for a reason mama. You of all people should know that."

"Boy."

"She threw you a party for yours. And you can't even give her a phone call."
