you wake her for cuddles

"Goodnight, y/n," Billie whispered softly as she hooked her fingers under your chin to bring you in for a kiss goodnight.

When she pulled away, she turned off the light and yawned quietly. She closed her heavy eyes and laid her head against the pillow, ready to drift off into a peaceful slumber after her busy day.

You lied beside her, wide awake as the rain picked up on the roof. You had no choice but to stay at her house tonight as a terrible storm hit from out of nowhere, leaving it much too risky and unsafe for you to even think about going back to your apartment.

You weren't really complaining. You feel safer and more comfortable by Billie's side when there's a storm that bad happening outside.

You know she's tired, so it didn't exactly take you by surprise for her to fall asleep so quickly. But you were surprised that she didn't even hold you when she fell asleep. You thought she'd like to cuddle tonight. 

Not just because she likes to cuddle with you, but also because it's your first time staying the night with her and you could use the comfort of her embrace with the storm raging outside.

She quickly rolled onto her other side, her back now facing you. You closed your eyes and tried to fall asleep, but you felt a little restless and cold. You craved Billie's embrace and the comfort that comes along with it and as much as you hated the thought of disturbing her sleep when you know she's so worn out after being busy for so long, you also didn't want to fall asleep without her holding you.

You reached over and put your hand on her back. She wasn't quite asleep yet, just getting there. So the brush of your hand and the whisper of her name was enough to wake her.

She turned around to face you. With a yawn, she stared at you.

"Yes, my love? Is something wrong?"

"No. I was just wondering if we could cuddle? If you don't mind, I'd really like for you to hold me tonight."

Her eyes lit up and she nodded happily as she opened her arms for you. Once you were in them, she wrapped them around you and kissed the top of your head sweetly.

"You're just the cutest." She whispered. "And I adore you, so much."

You smiled against her shirt and moved your head so you could kiss along her neck ever so softly.

"Is that better, sweet girl?' She asked as she tangled her legs with yours and rubbed her hand in circles along your back. Her kisses caused butterflies to appear in your chest as she trailed them from the crown of your head and down to your forehead.

"Yeah, so much better. Thanks, Billie."

"Anything for my girl." She said and set her head back against her pillow as she held you tight and stared at you adoringly while she waited for you to fall asleep.

And when you did, she quickly kissed your head one last time and said, "I love you more than words could ever say," as she rubbed your back and then closed her eyes, soon falling asleep feeling the happiest she has in a while.
