' control your own destiny or someone else will '
Turns out that my little set up was not nearly as comfortable as it looked, though throughout my life I had never had the most luxurious beds I do have the privilege of saying I've never really had to sleep on the floor. Whether it was a semi-comfortable bed or a lumpy mattress I always had something to sleep so seeing as this was my first time sleeping on the floor I wasn't really conditioned to it enough to get a good nights sleep. So around round five I had folded all the blankets and placed them back into the wicker basket apart from one green one that I had become attached to throughout the night. It was one of those really expensive ones that looked like it was knitted with massive knitting needles with merlin wool, I always wanted one of those. Though I wasn't the brightest of people I had made a point to remember where I had been yesterday so I wasn't going round the same hallways again and again. I knew I'd know the hall where the room I resided in was when I got to it as my door, for some reason, stuck out from all the others with its white door in comparison with virtually every other door being black. I wasn't really sure how much of the house I had covered the previous but I hoped it was most of the second floor as I had been walking down halls for a good hour before retiring to the cupboard. I came to a second set of stairs that were again painted white instead of black and as shit as this logic was knowing my door was white and the staircase was aswell I decided to go up there. As I reached the end of the staircase there was a little landing and it gave off to three hallways and instantly I recognised the left one with the white door sticking out. I felt relief wash over me as I walked to the door, thankful I wouldn't be forced to ask someone where on earth I was supposed to be sleeping and potentially have to explain what I was doing the whole night. I slung the blanket over my shoulder and turned the handle to open the room to reveal three sets of eyes looking back at me.
Sat on my bed was Adam, Alexandria, and autumn- I think. I stared back at them, well aware I looked like a dear in the headlights. What the hell where they doing here? How long had they been here? And I must look such a mess right now. "ummm hi?" I offered, confused and hoping one of them would explain. "See she's fine" Adam grumbled ,annoyed, sending a pissed glare my way and before I could flip him the bird he was hit in the face with a pillow "ow what the fvck Alex?"
"It didn't hurt that much quit being a pussy"
"To be fair pillows an hurt, Jamie once hit me in the jaw pretty rough and it fvcking hurt. Though to be fair it was one of those weighted ones you know the type? Apparently it's supposed to help sleep and it has a massage setting I was gonna order one, anyone want one?"
Autumn finished off on her tangent and looked to see two sets of eyes looking at her annoyed.
"What? And don't give me that look I'm trying to help you " she said pointedly at Adam.
I decided before they all started going at each other again I wold intervene "Sorry, what are you guys doing here again?" I tried to refrain from revealing my agitated state, I didn't want to seem a complete bitch. They all looked up at me like they were shocked I could talk. "We decided after dinner we'd introduce ourselves properly as as the first time we tried was pretty shit and we managed to drag your dear twin in here as well but we found out you weren't there so our natural response was to call Ave or Xander but we decided to wait to see if you would show cuz otherwise you would have been in a ton of shit and now here we are." Alexandria finished of, taking a deep breath. I nodded uncertainly, they'd bee here the whole night? "So where exactly were you?" Adam, now confirmed twin, asked coldly. "wouldn't you like to know" I grumbled, frankly not in the mood to deal with his bitchiness, I dropped the blanket onto the floor as something to do, I had nothing to say and they weren't starting any- "so hey I'm Alexandria, probably your coolest sibling, I'm sixteen, I'm madly in love wiht Harley Qinn and I don't mind if you do my math work" That made me smile, so it ran in the family. Before I could talk Autumn started to talk "I'm autumn, I'm about to be 18 I like rock music and retail therapy" she said thoughtfully as if she thought that was all to her. I looked at Adam now who looked up at me, a storm in his eyes, "I'm Adam, and I think this is a waste of time" he said dangerously quietly before walking out the room, closing the door with a slam.
