Chapter 8: The phone call

Harry
Okay this is it, I think to myself, deep breathes harry you can do this. Just pick up the phone and press the call button. I have been pondering over phoning Lola for the last hour which has really been annoying the boys. Come on Harry grow some balls you can do this, I repeat to myself over and over again. Louis patience must have been running thin as he walked over to me grabbed my phone out of my hand and pressed the call button. "Louis OMG i wasn't ready" I shouted. "well you haven't been ready for the past hour so I thought I would speed things up a bit", I just stared in shock at louis unaware of my surroundings. The loud dialing tone coming from my phone bought me back to my senses. I grabbed the phone from Louis and pressed it to my ear, there's no turning back now. I felt as if time had stopped as Lola was taking a very long timew to answer. I was doubting with myself on whether she would answer or not when the dialing tone cut off and a familiar voice spoke through the phone, "Hello, Lola's phone, who is this?", I paused for a moment not knowing what to say, "Hello is there anyone there, I swear to god if this is a prank call I will hit you, whoever you are!". Finally realising that i took to long to answer I replied, "Hannah its me Harry", all i could hear on the other side of the line is a sharp intake of breathe, "one second Harry i'll just get her for you", I could vaguely hear her footsteps bounding up the stairs in the background......

Lola

I was just blow drying my hair when my door flung open to reveal a panting Hannah holding out a phone to me. "Han are you alright, you look way to excited over something, what happened?" I placed down my hairdryer and walked over to her. "I..Its .. H..Harry", she pauses to get her breathe back and then continues, " Harry's on the phone an dhe want's to talk to you", I froze, this is what i wanted wasn't it, i wanted him to call so why was i acting like this. "Go on Lo you know you want to and it will stop you from brooding around the house like a lost soul" I broke from my trance and grabbed the phone from her grip. "Harry".......

Harry

"Harry", hearing her voice was all the courage I needed to speak up,

( H- Harry, L- Lola, Han-Hannah)

H- "Lola oh god how i've missed you, I'm so glad you picked up I was worried you wouldn't pick up and I would have to continue to mope around the house"

L- " Hello Harry, yes I have missed you too although not as much, what you said that day still hurts so you're going to have to make up for it.

H- "Of course , certainly, I did not expect you to forgive me at all let alone now so I will try my best to gain your forgiveness and hopefully your love as my sister again"

L- "One step at a time Harry although I never stopped loving you, i just liked you much less, I will give you one chance and one chance only do not mess it up for you will not be given another"

H- "Of course, thank you so much Lola I will not let you down again"

L- "Promise?"

H- "I promise"

L- "Good............"

Lola's end of the line went silent and the awkwardness rose. I could hear arguing and a struggle in the background as if someone was fighting.

H- "Lola are you okay?....."

Han- "She's great, the awkwardness was just too much for me to handle so I decided to but in and help her out"

H- "Urm okay"

Han- "Right Lola is free on thursday so you two will meet for coffee and talk, this is four days from now so it will give you enough time to prepare yourself , Okay thanks for ringing bye now"

And she cut off the call before I could even reply and say I was infact not free on thursday. But that's the way I remember Hannah she never gave anyone a chance to say no. So I guess Im going to have to cancel my plans.
