So this is how my days usually go: wake up, go to school, get home, do homework, listen to music, eat dinner, go to bed.
But today things are a little different. Today my best friend's mom is getting remarried.
So, currently I am standing next to my best friend as her mom gets married to my best friends new dad.
Me and my best friends are brides maids. My mom is the maid of honor, because my mom and my best friends mom are best friends too.
Now, the man my best friends mom is marrying isn't too bad. He's kind, sweet, and loves to spoil us girls. That is me and his new step daughter.
The only reason he likes to spoil us is because he's never had a daughter. All he has is a rotten, 16 year old son.
I'm not exaggerating when I say he's rotten either.
I really mean rotten.
I met him many times and each time me and my best friend always end up getting pranked. And it's not those stupid made you look things, it's actual pranks. Like, he sets up tripwires so we fall, he throws water balloons at us while we tan, he steals all of our bras and only gives them back when we say he's the best or something stupid like that.
The worst part is, nobody knows that he does these things! Nobody knows that he does that to people!
So, right now I'm kinda worried he has set up a prank at the wedding.
The music starts playing as the bride walks down to where her husband stands. The preacher stands behind them.
I exchange a worried look with my best friend. We both look at her step brother who is standing next to the best man.
When we look at him, he's smirking. I look back at my best friend and see she also looks worried. This cannot be good.
By now the bride has already reached her soon to be husband. She stands facing him with a smile on her face.
"Do you take this man as your husband?" The preacher asks her mom.
"I do." She says.
I look back over to her step brother. He catches my eye and winks at me. I roll my eyes at look back at my best friends mom.
"Do you take this woman as your wife?" The preacher asks my best friends new step dad.
"I do." He says.
The preacher then takes a step back and says "you may now kiss the bride."
As he leans forward to kiss her, right as their lips touch, hundreds of bubbles pour from the walls, floating around the room.
Everyone starts clapping.
I look at my best friend. The bubbles were not supposed to be here. My best friend looks around the room as the bubbles fill the spaces.
They break from the kiss, and when they see the bubbles they look confused. Then they smile brightly.
My best friend looks at me. Her eyes narrow and we both look at her step brother. He's looking around the room with a smug look on his face.
He looks at us and smiles.
Everyone begins leaving the room to go to the room where my best friends mom wanted to have a dance after.
My mom tried to convince her to have a traditional wedding, but she had her mind set on a dance after.
After everyone leaves, me and my best friend link arms and make our way into the room.
