Chapter 3: Zane!

When I get home from school, Evangeline comes right to my house. Glad to be away from Zane.

Zane had ditched first, second, and third hour, but decided to show up for the rest of the day.

For the three hours he was there, he made fun of us in front if the whole class. So now we are the laughing stock of the eleventh grade.

Thanks a lot Zane!

"Ugh! This year is gonna be awful!" Evangeline says as she's sits down on the couch in my room.

"100% awful." I agree.

"What was so awful about it?" Kohl asks us coming in my room.

"Oh only that Zane is in all our classes and all he did was make fun of us for 3 hours." Evangeline says.

"Why only 3 hours?" Kohl asks us.

I lie down on my bed before answering. "Cause he wasn't there the first 3."

"What? I dropped y'all off though!" Kohl says.

"Yeah but he left with Logan before first hour." Evangeline says.

"You wanna tell your parents?" Kohl asks her.

"What's the point." She says.

Kohl looks confused.

"They won't believe her." I tell him.

"Exactly." Evangeline says.

"Why wouldn't they believe you?" Kohl asks.

"They think Zane is the perfect gentlemen." Evangeline says sighing.

"Really? Why?" Kohl says.

Kohl is the only other person who knows how bad Zane really is. Kohl believes us. I mean, Kohl's never been the victim of one of Zane's pranks, but he believes us.

"Cause he acts like one." I say with a laugh.

"So what did he say about you guys?" Kohl asks us.

"Just that we had no friends and we left our old school because everyone hate us." Evangeline says.

"And that we're bitches, takes advantage of people, that we hate everyone, arrogant, disgusting, and a bunch of other stuff I really don't wanna say." I tell him.

"Why the hell would he say that? You girls are the exact opposite of what he described." Kohl says standing up.

"Kohl, Zane can be pretty messed up with us." I tell him.

"But he can be really nice and sweet with you, Cordeliah." Evangeline points out.

I laugh. "Yeah right!"

"He did tell you he would show you who to stay away from." Evangeline tells me.

"He told you that?" Kohl says surprised.

I shrug. "Yeah but, I mean, he could tell me to stay away from all the good people, leaving me with the bad people to hang out with. As like, you know, a prank?" I say.

"But he looked you dead in the eye and told you to stay away from that Stacy girl, right?" Evangeline says while reaching over to poke me.

"Well yeah but-" I start

"Why is Zane nice to you, Cory, but not V?" Kohl asks us.

We shrug.

"I heard my name!" Zane says coming into my room.

Evangeline groans.

"What are you doing here?" I question him.

"Were you talking about how sexy I am, Cordeliah?" He asks me.
