Chapter 7: painfully obvious

GG: I think I've finally cracked the code, though I am not quite sure yet who it could have been.
GG: I think that one of two things happened; one being that Sollux was going through a particularly difficult bipolar mood swing, and hadn't yet contacted his um, moirail, if that's how you spell it.
GG: The second would be that it wasn't him.
GG: Because really, I don't know a lot about this Captor myself, but from what you've told me about him, these seem like possible ideas.
GG: Rose?
TT: Ah, yes, my apologies, Jane. I was chatting with my dear Kanaya here in class.
TT: What we are doing today seems to prove quite boring. While I most definitely enjoy The Taming Of The Shrew, as I can connect with it on a personal level, I do believe that the questions my teacher is asking are rather absurd.
GG: Hmm. What questions are they asking?
TT: Oh, how do I put it? I can't do it much justice by paraphrasing but I think that Porrim put it best when she said something along the lines of "Katerina is a proud spirit and firm believer in feminism, and shouldn't be looked down upon in a classroom." and then something about "brainwashing swine" and I think I heard something about "Shakespeare was a respectable man".
GG: Huh. That's interesting.
GG: But what do you think about what I said?
TT: I agree.
TT: I had come to the same conclusion myself, but I wanted another opinion.
GG: Well, I'm not so sure about everything that's going on.
GG: It all seems a little fishy to me.
TT: Well, perhaps another day I could indulge you in this topic and maybe even give you more information about what exactly is going on.
TT: I don't know the entire story, but I know a few bits a pieces that may be missing from the big picture that is going around the school through gossip.
GG: I'd like that, Rose.
TT: As would I
TT: But, I have to return what attention span I have left to my class now before I either get my phone confiscated or fall asleep here on the desk.
TT: It really is boring today.
GG: Alright, well, I'll see you around.
TT: Yes you will.
GG: Goodbye.
TT: Adieu

Setting her phone down, Rose let her lavender gaze flicker up to meet Kanaya's jade green irises as she felt the troll's hand close over hers. Her black lacquered lips formed a small smile and her gaze softened in admiration as she shared their brief, yet pleasant moment.
"More confusion over your brother and Solluxander, I presume?" Kanaya asked, using her free hand to open her copy of the play to the beginning of the third act where they class had been told to stop reading. She casually slid the open book between them and removed her hand from where it sat atop Rose's.
"You know both of them could probably die of their stubbornness, right? But yes, Jane was confirming her suspicions of the black confession." The human replied, voices hushed in comparison to their teacher's reading aloud. Both of them had already read the entire play. They were well aware of what happened and how, so they needn't pay attention. During the whole time assigned in class for them to work on reading their play, they had chatted about this, or that, until their conversation topics had become flooded with Dave, John, Karkat, and now Sollux, just like everyone else's
