Chapter 10 - Shots Fired

Nyssa handed over several recent photos she had of Talia for Zari so they had images they could use to run through facial recognition. Ava needed to keep herself distracted from being around Nyssa and so she kept busy looking through files of businesses located in Star City, searching for any links of ownership to Ra's Al Ghul. He had to have been operating from a place located in Star City and Ava was determined to find him and Talia to end this once and for all.

After hours of trawling through business data, Ava found an empty warehouse located at the Star City Docks. The building was identified as being owned by a subsidiary of a shipping company; the owner having been killed in one of the recent attacks in the city. Zari bought up images of the building which displayed the name 'Anglos Aussie Safes' on the front. Zari checked for any CCTV around the property, looking to match anything with Talia and Ra's Al Ghul. She found a camera located across the street from the building and began monitoring movement in that area. The wait for anything to come up was excruciating, it was after a few hours when the camera caught a glimpse of Talia crossing the road toward the building and then vanishing. Zari yelled out, "I think we've got her; we'll keep looking at footage over the last week, see if there's been much movement in and around that building." "Good job team, we need to get the building plans and go through the layout so we know what we're going into." Zari, tapping away at the computer called out to Sara. "I'm bringing up the plans now." "Good, can you get Hank online, we'll work through a plan with the Bureau."

The team went over the floorplans, the building consisting of three floors and a basement. They studied each floor of the building, ensuring they were well versed in the layout of the floors. There were three access points, the front of the building, an access at the side of the building and the loading dock at the rear. Sara and Nyssa would take the front entrance, Ava and Mick would take the side entrance and Nate and Ray would take the loading dock at the rear. Each team would have two Bureau agents with them. Charlie was to take station on top of the taller building complex opposite the site. From there she would be able to operate the Drone that was fitted with a thermal imaging camera which would feed back to Zari who would be watching from the OPS Room. Once the ground floor had been cleared, Ava and Mick would sweep the basement with Sara, Nyssa, Ray and Nate sweeping the second and third floors. The plan was set and the Legends made their way to the docks. They met the Bureau agents at the designated area, kitted up and in their teams took their positions ready for the raid.

Charlie had the drone up flying it around the building with the images being sent through to Zari, who could now be their eyes into the building. She reported that there were two guards out near the loading dock, two on the ground floor, and two on the third floor. The teams all made their respective entries on Sara's countdown. Nate and Ray taking out the two guards near the loading dock. Ava and Mick took out one guard who was near the side entry and Sara and Nyssa took out the other near the front of the building. They swept the ground floor ensuring it was all clear then continued executing the plan.

Mick and Ava proceeded to go down to the basement where they saw two workers run to toward the other end of the tunnel like corridor. Mick and Ava made their way to the other end where they were jumped by the two workers. Mick and the agents grappled with the workers when Ava was suddenly pushed from behind and fell across the floor knocking her 9mm weapon out of her hand as she slid across the floor. Ava scrambled to get her weapon and as her hand reached the pistol grip, the tall dark woman stomped on Ava's hand with Ava firing off a shot in the process. Ava managed to grab the woman's leg pulling her down and they were now grappling on the ground. Ava pulled herself on top of the tall brunette enabling her to get a couple of punches to the woman who managed to push Ava off her. They were both quick to get back on their feet ready to tackle each other again.
