I gently pulled y/n from the car and to the living room. Holding her as tenderly as I could, and I placed her on the sofa. My instinct was to hold her. I moved her onto my lap and her head found my chest in seconds. I held her for as long as she needed to before she had found the courage to speak up about what made her in this state.
"I saw y/b/n and y/b/f/n in my bed. I think you can guess the rest." y/n told me.
They are y/n's most trusted people outside of football.
She trusted them, for them to decide to go against a girl that I've got nothing bad to say about.
"Oh, god y/n, that's horrible. Why are you bleeding from your bottom lip?" I wiped the blood carefully, by swiping my thumb on her chin.
"That was y/b/f/n. She slapped me and threw her heels at me. I guess that's also why I have a red mark on my cheek too. I got the things I think I need, but I was panicking and rushing."
I don't think I could be any tenser. y/b/f/n and y/n were practically inseparable, and y/b/f/n doing something which is scarring, that must hurt. Emotionally and physically.
"Oh my god. If myself or any of the lads see her in public, we'll show them they shouldn't have messed with you. Darling, I think it'd be good to get some sleep. Do you need anything to help you sleep? Tea, a fresh change of clothes, a tv show on in the background, music, what would you like?"
"Can I have some clothes and tea, please? I don't want too much as I feel like a burden to you."
"y/n/n, you'll never be a burden. You're our manager for christ's sake. If you need anything, let me know love. I'll go get those things for you."
I left the room, finding the best-comfy looking hoodie and sweats I could. I passed them to her, before getting her some tissues and start boiling the kettle.
"Here, love. I'll go get you a blanket and some pillows." I pressed a small kiss to her forehead, then ran off upstairs.
I came back down, holding onto my set of blanket and pillows. She deserved the best; I don't mind having the guest room things. By the looks of things, she had finished her tea.
"Thank you, Tommy, you're an angel."
"Tommy, eh? I like it. I'll let you sleep now." My heart filled with love; she's given me a nickname. I know it might not seem like much, but it's a new one.
I started heading back upstairs before she asked me something. "Tommy, can you stay with me...?"
I looked back, a grin on my face. I didn't need a second to think of the answer. "Of course, love, anything you need."
I snuggled up behind her and kissed her head. "Get some rest, y/n/n, you need it after a busy day."
Her eyes fluttered shut, her body curled up to mine. After ensuring she was fully asleep, I drifted away.
