"Derek! Derek!" I shouted as I walked up to the front door of the remains of the Hale house. It was early Monday morning, but I decided I didn't wanna go to school and would talk to Derek about what the next step was gonna be. With the hunters, with the alpha, with Scott, anything at all.

Derek didn't open his door so I decided I'd let myself in. I walked inside, instantly coming face to face with a shirtless and sweaty Derek doing pull-ups on the hallway frame of his living room. Shock. I was in a state of pure shock.

"I didn't answer for a reason," Derek grunted out, not even stopping as he continued to do his pull-ups. I could see the sweat glistening off his shoulder blades, the dimples of his muscles straining as he worked out.

Hot. That was the only word plaguing my mind.

"I-I just wanted to talk about what our next step is gonna be," I said, keeping my eyes glued to the man in front of me as I picked at the sleeves of my grey leather jacket. I couldn't find it in myself to look away, and I sure as hell wasn't gonna purposefully find my morals and do so.

"With what?"

"Well considering the alpha murdered someone only two nights ago and the full moon is in a couple of days we should be working on training Scott." I preached out, watching as Derek dropped down from the frame and got to the floor, starting a set of push-ups.

Derek went down for another push-up, his shoulder blades pushing themselves together as he did so, the swirls of the tattoo between his shoulders moving in a rhythmic pattern. Suddenly Derek stopped in the middle of his push-up, silent as he quickly turned his head in the direction of the window facing outside. His eyebrows knitted together, his face full of confusion.

"What?" I asked, my own eyebrows furrowing together.

"Come with me. Now." Derek said quickly before he stood up, jogging over and grabbing me by the wrist. He yanked me hard and urgently, pulling me into a room to the right of the staircase I hadn't noticed before.

"Derek what's going-" before I could finish his hand came over my mouth and he pressed me against the wall next to the door frame. His sweaty body pressed into mine, nearly engulfing me from the intense sense of his body heat melting into mine.

"Quiet," he commanded sharply as he stared into my eyes, causing my spine to turn into ice.

Then a long bang came from the front of the house, causing me to flinch and forget for a moment the position we were in. The unmistakable sound of a gun cocking made all my sense alert, and by the look in Derek's eyes as he continued to stare at me, I knew his gut was churning with unease.

"No one home." a male voice spoke first, and I instantly knew what was going down.

Hunters, ready to finally sink their bullets into their prey.
