The morning started like normal, the Taylors had gotten up, ate breakfast before going their separate ways. It wasn't long before the whispers rose around them. None of them paid it any mind, thinking it was mindless gossip at least not until the children had gotten to school.

The Blue and Gold was the school newspaper and most merely walked by the stand unless something interesting caught their eye. The first exposing expose was the football team's book list. Next was it's participation of finding the Black Hood. It's latest article bringing out Alice Cooper's dark past. What the Taylors never expected was for their deep secret to be plastered on its front page.

Three heads of blonde hair made their way through the halls each noticing the stares and hushed whispers pointed in their direction. They looked at one another unsure what was going on. Jacob and Charlotte spoke to one another trying to find out why attention was drawn it them until Carly spotted the fuss.

A stand placed outside the office door held papers for clubs and other school activities also held the small newspaper. She picked up the paper and the big bold letters stared right back at her. She skimmed over the article quickly even glancing at the pictures that were included.

"Guys." Her voice shaky as she turned toward her siblings behind her.

Both approached her and looked over her shoulder. None of them expecting to see their origin story displayed like that. They looked at each other unsure what to do. Charlotte was the first to do something was she grabbed ahold of the papers and dumped them in the nearest trash can. Jacob taking the one in Carly's hand and ripping it up.

But the damage was already done. Gossip spilled out quickly when it was something worth telling. Students told their parents. Parents conversed among peers until there wasn't a person who didn't know the latest news especially in a town like Riverdale.

The siblings had tried to finish their day like nothing had happened but knowing truth led others to think about the bad rep the Southside got. Charlotte's friends brushed her off keeping replies short. Jacob tried hanging out with the Bulldogs but the idea of him being close to the Serpents was enough for them to dislike him. Carly was the only one who didn't have much trouble as she didn't have many friends herself. Instead she sat and observed at how the people seemed to change around her.

By lunch, the siblings have had enough of the side glances and hushed conversations. Despite the trouble they would get into, the three had decided to skip the remainder to the day. All of them wondering if their parents had heard of the news. Their first stop, the hospital.

Even there as they searched the hallways for their mother, the whispers and pointed looks followed. They found her at a nurse's station by herself as she did her chart work. The rest of the nurses grouped together looking them over with distaste.

"Mom, are you okay?" Charlotte asked softly pulling her from her work.

"Kids, what are you doing here? You should all be in school." Amelia was shocked to see all of her children in front of her. All day she had noticed how the woman isolated themselves from her and how the patients seemed to prefer someone other than her. It wasn't till she heard the phrase "serpent slut," that she pieced the talk together.
