true to his words, jay managed to be one of jungwon's closest friend.

"I'm his cousin! of course I'll be his most favorite person." sunoo argues with the blonde.

"well not anymore." jay teases him.

jungwon watches them with a smile, shaking his head a little before he continues reading the book he was holding.

"jay, stop teasing him." heeseung says, his eyes not leaving the rubics cube he was playing with. "I bet his veins are about to pop off."

sunoo scoffs at the oldest before running to sunghoon, who was outside the treehouse. he needed someone to back him up.

"watch him come back here crying because sunghoon teased him too." jay laughs.

"hyung, you're being mean to my cousin." jungwon pointed at him like he was scolding him.

"I'm not. I just like teasing him." jay leans closer, resting his head on jungwon's shoulder, and took hold of his hands.

heeseung swears to himself that he saw jungwon blushing when jay intertwined their hands but he won't say it out loud.

he just let the two be for now.

jungwon could feel his heart racing. jay has always been affectionate with him but he hasn't gotten used to it.

it felt nice but at the same time he was afraid jay would notice how he reacts to his friendly gestures.

yes, that's what jungwon thinks it is. a friendly gesture.

but he has never seen jay do this with anyone else.

he hasn't seen jay smile with so much fondness except when he was around him.

he hasn't seen jay take care of someone else the way he does with him.

jungwon shrug off this thoughts. maybe he's over analyzing things. jay couldn't like him because... he just doesn't see it.

the lack of confidence in himself shows.

"guess what!" ni-ki suddenly barge in their treehouse.

"what is it?" jay acknowledges him, sitting up straight and moving a bit further from jungwon.

that made jungwon frown. he love having the older close to him.

"miracle called me and said she's coming to visit us this summer." the youngest said with so much enthusiasm in his tone.

miracle? jungwon hasn't heard about her before.

"really? that's great!"

why were they so happy about it?

"who's miracle?" he asked.

heeseung smiles at him. "miracle is part of our circle. she just moved in to Australia three years ago but she still sometimes visits here."

"she's also jay hyung's.." ni-ki snickers before continuing. "first love."
