I anxiously stood fiddling with my hands at the airport. Awaiting the moment when she steps off the plane.

Me and my long distance girlfriend have been dating for about 2 and half years and today is the day I finally get to see her in person.

They live in North Carolina and I live in LA and they finally scrambled up enough money to get a plane ticket here and I couldn't be more happy.

When I lay my eyes on her a bright smile was put on my face immediately. I see their eyes breifly scan the room before they meet mine and when they do I see her beautiful smile spread across her perfectly freckled face.

My feet pretty much had a mind of their own as they took off in her direction. She drops her bags as I run up to her, picking me up off the ground and spinning us.

"Oh! Hello my love!!" She exclaims. Making a small giggle come out of my mouth and a blush spread across my pale cheeks.

My feet return the floor but their arms never leave from around my waist, still holding me tightly. I tuck my head into the space between their neck and shoulder breathing in the comforting smell of their coconut scent.

I feel her do the same as we both laugh. A few minutes go by without either of us talking as we both take in each other's presence.

I don't know who pulled away first but I felt her hands coming up to cup my face as I looked up at her.

Her tall 5'7 stature towering over my small 5'4 frame. Not that I minded it in the slightest.

She scanned my face as I did the same to hers. Taking notice of her freckles that I loved oh so much displayed across her cheeks and nose. She was the first one to speak.

"God. You're even more beautiful in real life." She said softly, my blush grew as did my smile.

"You're even more beautiful. I'm in love with your freckles."
Now it was her turn to blush as she giggled, making my heart melt as she mumbled thank you.

We continued to compliement each other for the next 5 minutes or so before we both decided it was time to leave. Me being the nice girlfriend I was, I took her bags and walked us out to my car.

We talked about just anything and everything we could think of in the car, neither of us seeming to get tired of the others voice. Every red light I steal a glance at her, never wanting to look away from her seemingly perfect face.

We made it to my house where I took her things into my room, proceeding to take her to officially meet my family. They pretty much already knew her so it wasn't long before we went to my room.

When we got inside she walked around admiring everything. She came across my light switch and a smile was brought upon her face.

"Go ahead mama, I know you want to." I told her, and with that she flipped the switch turning on my red LED lights.

With that same small giggle that made my heart melt she came to sit on my bed as we talked about pretty much anything that came to mind.

I took notice of how her beautiful brown eyes lit up whenever she talked about something she was passionate about. I chuckle a bit, stopping her mid sentence as she rambled on about her favorite TV show.
