I scrambled to get everything together as today was the day that Billie was coming home from almost a two year long tour. 19 months to be exact.

"Hey no! Shark down! That is for your mother." I grabbed him from getting the welcome cake that was on the table. He's grown a lot do least to say he was huge now.

She was supposed to be home soon and I couldn't be more ecstatic. I put Shark in his house for the time being.

My phone ringing grabbed my attention my face lighting up when I saw who it was.

"Hey baby! Are you almost here?"

"Not yet. Uh, I'm kind of in a situation." She said nervously.

"What do you mean?"

"I'm uhh. Kinda getting pulled over."

"What?! What did you do?"

"Speeding probably. I also may have run a red light."

Just then I heard the sirens and the gruff voice of a police man. I sighed and rolled my eyes.

"Billie."

"I know, I'm sorry baby. I just couldn't wait to see you and I was really excited and I just wanted to get home as soon as possible and-"

"It's okay. Just..hurry back." I cut her off sensing she was getting nervous.

"I'll try. I love you."

"I love you too."

I hung up and playfully rolled my eyes. I figured a good way to waste time was to get the bedroom set up for...some activities that would definitely take place once she finally got home.

I made sure the bedsheets were smoothened out even though they would get ruffled up sooner rather than later. I lit some candles and put on some soft music. I got another idea and went into the closet putting on the lingerie she had bought me over tour specifically for this exact moment.

Once I made sure it was on I put on some regular clothes over it and a few minutes later I heard her car outside and the front door open.

I smiled to myself and swiftly headed downstairs.

I walked into the kitchen finding a small cake with the words 'Welcome Home' on it.

I chuckled lightly looking at all the decorations. I heard Jess coming down the stairs and an immediate smile was put on my face.

I turned around and she jumped into my arms with a giggle. I spun us around with the biggest smile on my face, putting them down after a moment.

"Took you long enough." She mumbled.

"Shut up and kiss me already."

"Gladly."

As soon as the words left her lips they were on mine in a deep passionate kiss that practically left my knees weak. They wrapped their arms around my shoulders deepening the kiss as I hoisted her up onto the counter.
