Dream saw the situation, and they knew they came for them. But children were at risk, so he had to act.

"JUDY." He said, the outside world not hearing him. "Are you there?"

"Yes sir."

"Get the heck out of this suit."

"Yes. what setting should I put it to?"

"Wait on my command."

"I'll go. As soon as you release them," he said to the man. "Just don't hurt the children."

"Ah, Dream the Merciful. Honour is to be in your presence." The man said. "Release them."

The children and women were set free, and Dream was escorted to them.

He stopped in front of the man. "Now. Come on." he gestured to the truck.

"Judy; go full-on combat."

"Yes sir."

In a blink of an eye, he snatched a nearby Myrmidon's plasma blade and sliced the commander's head off with one clean stroke. He whirled around, slicing a Myrmidon's arm off and grabbing the gun he had in his hand before shooting the man in the head.

Myrmidons looked on in confusion, and before they could react any longer, Dream rushed through the ranks, lopping off heads and shooting the ones he'd wounded.

He stabbed a Myrmidon in the gut, before ducking behind a truck as plasma rounds shot at him. A Myrmidon gestured to the others to rat him out. Dream climbed over the truck, jumping down before landing on the Myrmidon's chest, knocking him down before plunging his blade into his head. He shot the one next to him in the leg, making her kneel before beheading her.

A plasma round hit him in the shoulder, though the armour plating took the brunt of the attack. He whirled around, slicing off Myrmidon's rifle barrel. He kicked him in the gut, before grabbing his head and twisting it in an unnatural position, the neck making a sickening crack as the armour's stress limit couldn't handle it anymore.

The whoosh of a plasma blade came from behind. He turned around, deflecting a swing at his face. He and the last Myrmidon battled for a bit, each one not overpowering the other. He is just as skillful as Dream is in hand-to-hand combat. But Dream has the strategy. The Myrmidon swung his blade, and Dream caught it with his. The Myrmidon should have retreated, but he pressed on, and Dream punished on his mistake.

He suddenly moved left, kneeing his opponent right in the junk and with one clean swing, chopped off his head. The head went flying to the people watching, landing in the midst of them while the body crumpled to the ground below him.

Everyone stared, and Dream turned his gaze away from them.

"Chancellor!" He yelled into the woods. "I know you're watching and I only have 3 words for you;" He flipped the bird. "Go fuck yourself."

A drone sped away, flying back to wherever they came from.

"So what the hell were you thinking?" Virtue asked. "Why the fuck would you do that?"

"Because there's lives at-"

"Not that. Why did you give the Chancellor the middle finger?" Fortitude asked. "I've only met him once but even I know that he dislikes people who are rude to him."

"Don't everyone?" Valour sniffed.

"Yes but he takes it way too personally." Virtue said. "You're gonna be in trouble, Dream."

"I killed almost all of the Myrmidons in a 100 km radius; how much more can I piss him off?" Dream asked.

"This man." Virtue said.

They were waiting outside the conference room, where they were told to wait until they've discussed what to do next. Dream's shoulder burned from the plasma round; although his armour took the brunt of it, the heating system wasn't able to disperse the overwhelming amount of energy, resulting in a nasty burn. It won't kill; the armour's life-support systems will heal it, though it'll hurt for a few more days.

"Hello?" Colin poked his head through the door. "Yeah. Come in."

They entered the conference room, Virtue in the lead. Dream stood at the wall beside the door, leaning against the wall.

"The armies are restless," Colin said. "They know what you can do now. And they don't trust you, Dream."

"He can kill everyone at a moment's notice." A representative said. "he bypassed the hack you've placed on his armour; they're a threat."

They didn't say anything, so the representative continued.

"We don't know where his loyalties lie." He said. "We don't know what side he'd choose."

"That's when you're wrong." Dream said. "In times of turmoil, I don't pick sides; I pick people. My philosophy."

"Are you sure your philosophy isn't friends first, yourself last?" Virtue asked. "Selflessness can be a curse you know?"

"At the same time, it's a Virtue." Dream said.

Virtue sighed. "I hate you."

Colin smiled. He hated politics and was glad to see Dream not affected by the stringy old representatives.

"What are you even going to do?" Virtue asked. "You can't kill us in these suits; nor should you give back the Skylars their best weapon. So what did you wish to accomplish here?"

"I-I-"

"Also; what have we done for all of you? Oh right; supply you with information, devise a plan to take this case you're in right this moment." Valour said. "We've done all that and this is how you treat us? I'm thinking of breaking out tonight and going back to the Skylars again..."

Colin smiled even more. He was starting to like these guys. "How about a compromise?" He proposed. "How about you guys prove yourself you're trustable and then we'll take it from here?"

"You're not saying-"

"I am saying for them to fight," Colin said. "We got 4 super-soldiers here doing nothing but waste food. Why not?"

"They can- they-"

"Now if there's nothing else, please get your ass out of here," Colin said, casually testing his wrist blade's point, drawing a little blood from his fingertips. "Go."

They didn't argue with that. They dipped.

"You're seriously trusting us that much?" Dream asked after they were gone. "Although I was wondering when you'll say that we had to prove ourselves."

Colin grinned. "I also wanted to kick those old suckers in the arse. Annoying people talking about politics. As if there's time to talk on a battlefield."

"So when's the next battle?" Fortitude asked.
