The outside light was blinding as Dream crawled out of the tunnel. The cold winds blew as he dug himself out of the snow covered ground. Behind him, the troop of spiders that escorted him out scurried back into the darkness.

The snow was gently falling down now, making the sky dotted with white spots. The sun was barely visible from the dark, overcast clouds.

Dream took a breath. Now what? He'd gotten his answer from Polar Peak, but what happened after he was banished? Where did he go? And most importantly, how can he find it?

He looked around. Mountains stretched for miles, with no sign of any civilization anywhere.

Dream sighed. I'll have to walk out of here. Damn it.

Without another moment to waste, he started walking towards the taller mountains, thinking he could get a good vantage point from there.

Adonis snatched another pancake from the small table.

"What are we going to do!?!??!!?" Beckett asked again.

"Beckett, you've been asking this question for the past day!" Jonathan chided. ""We don't know what to do!!!"

"Shut up, all of you." Ethan said. "We're here to find Nicholas, not have another argument."

"You're one to talk!" Beckett said, standing up. "Did you not hear the message yesterday? They're preparing to attack Fort Gorgon! We need Nicholas!!!"

It's been a whole week since they'd arrived, and time was running out. They'd searched Polar Peak since the ice bridge had reformed, only to find out that they were 2 days too late. Then they searched the mountains. Nothing. Nicholas had somehow gotten away again. Now, with the Resistance attacking Fort Gorgon in 2 days, it's now or never they find Nicholas.

Adonis sighed, chewing his pancake. "Anywhere else he can go?"

"No; he definitely hasn't left the mountains." Grayson said. "Our sensors would have picked it up, even with the interruptions by the Aurora"

Everyone went silent, dejected. Where can he go, if he hasn't left the mountains? It's not as if he had... oh wait. It clicked in everyone's heads in unison.

"The Assassin Stronghold." they said in unison.

Dream laid inside the small cave, watching the small fire he'd started. The flames licked at the snow rabbit he'd caught, cooking the small rabbit.

Where am I? He thought to himself. I think emerged from the base of Mount Starflight. I headed east... I think? Was it West?

Yup, Dream's lost. Like, very lost. Little did he know, he was heading straight into a battlefield.

He snatched the rabbit from the fire, seeing if it's cooked yet. Seeing it is, he pulled out a small knife and started cutting out pieces to save for later, eating the rest before putting out the fire and snuggled against the cave wall. Outside, the beautiful lights of the Aurora lit up the land, its colours filling the sky in amazing patches of blue and green.

Beautiful. He thought.

The sky stayed dark even when Dream's internal clock said it was 8 in the morning. Shaking himself awake, he pulled himself onto his feet, yawning. Somewhere on the other side of the mountains, a pack of wolves howled.

He put out the rest of the fire, little sparks and flames that survived the night, before heading out again.

The sun started to rise during the afternoon, though at that point it was already covered by the clouds. Snow again started to fall.
