Chapter 20

Jungkook woke up after a twisted dream of what happened the day before. In his dream, he fell off the roof because he tripped and Kai laughed at him like they were friends.

He rubbed his eyes and licked his dry lips. He looked to his side and saw Y/N sleeping, still in her wolf form. He sat up and went out to the others who were eating by the dining table.

"Morning, Gguk. How's Y/N?" Nayeon asked him, the rest looking at him with eyes full of hope. Jungkook merely shook his head and they all turned silent.

Hoseok stood up and offered his seat to Jungkook as he was already done. "How about you?" Jin added.

"I'll be fine once she wakes," he simply replied, eating a spoonful of rice and spam. Hoseok rubbed his back to reassure him that everything will be alright and Jungkook smiles softly at his hyung.

As they ate, they heard a loud thud coming from their room. Jungkook ran to the room opening the door with a loud bang.

He saw a smaller wolf lying on the floor playing with its tail. It walked to Jungkook as soon as it saw him, sitting in front him waiting to be petted. He assumed that it was Y/N. He crouched so that their faces were of the same level.

It licked him and he laughed. "Y/N?" The wolf's ears dropped like it was sad and it alarmed Jungkook. "Ivy?" he said, unsure. This time, the wolf stood up in excitement, wiggling its tail side to side.

"Oh, Ivy. Where's Y/N?" Jungkook asked her.

"Oh, she's sleeping," Ivy replied through mind-link to all of them. Jungkook furrowed his eyebrows. "Sleeping?" he repeated for clarification and Ivy just barked.

Jungkook stood up and made space for Ivy to get out of the room. Even the others were surprised at the sudden decrease in size.

She went up to Jin looking fond as ever. The girls even played with her as they sat on the couch.

As they were talking, Ivy ran to Jungkook and pushed him to their room, the others looking at them wih confused expressions as they passed by.

Ivy pushed him to the bed and she lay down beside him just like the night before. She put the blanket over herself and dozed off.

Then she began turning back to human. Jungkook sat up and pushed away the strands of hair to get a better view of her sleeping face. He pulled the blanket up more as it was only covering half of her bare torso.

He felt relieved now that she's back, all of his worries and ngeative thoughts disappear. The only thing he could feel from her was exhaustion.

Jungkook got up and headed out of their room. "Jin hyung! She's back!" he exclaimed. Jin and Nayeon ran over and saw Y/N sleeping soundly on the bed. They both look at Jungkook who just shrugged his shoulders.

When Jungkook averted his gaze from them to her, he saw her staring at him. "Y/N!"

He sat beside her and planted a soft kiss on her forehead, her eyes closed as he did so. She patted the space beside her motioning for him to lay die down with her.

Jungkook pulled the blanket over him as well as he lay down. Y/N hugged his arm snuggling closer beside him and inhaling his scent. "I'm glad you're okay," she said in a soft voice.

"Same here," he replied.

"I'm hungry. What's for breakfast?"

"The usual."

"Menu 1, 2, 3, or 4?"

Jungkook chuckled. "Two." Y/N hums in response.

She opens her eyes and they meet with Jin and Nayeon's who were both standing by the door.
