Chapter 17

"Y/N's such a tease!", Rosie said in a teasing tone. My idiot of a mate decided to tell them a few 'details' of what we did.

And now, I can't even properly enjoy my meal out of embarrassment. Oh, how I wanna just sink into a bottomless pit and never be found ever again.

"Oppa! You're supposed to be scolding us! Why are you just sitting there and joining them?!" I complained. Getting scolded by him is better than having to face this.

"I just wanna know how if my sis is better than me in bed," he wiggled his eyebrows up and down. This son of a wolf.

I was about to protest but a knock on the door held me back. I was immediately able to pick up the person's scent and there was the stench of blood. Jieun unnie...

I ran past Jimin who was calmly walking to the door alarming the others. My heart was pounding so badly. Kai must've did something to her.

I opened the door and there she was, leaning on the doorframe. She looked even worse than I did. "Y/N," she cried out to me before falling unconscious in my arms.

No, no, no. Not her too...

"OPPA!!! JUNGKOOK-AH!!!" They all came to me running. Even they were shocked at the sight.

Jimin, who was the nearest to me, helped me carry Jieun unnie. He wrapped one of her arms around his neck and held her by the waist. We brought her to the living room and gently laid her down on the couch.

The others had already arranged the pillows in a way that would make her comfortable. Jisoo came in shortly after with the first aid kit in her hands.

She had a few stab wounds around her stomach but they weren't that deep according to Jisoo. She had scratches all over her body and her eye was swelling up.

Jihyo and the other girls joined in to help Jisoo tend to Jieun unnie's wounds. Next thing I know, I'm being dragged by my arm to the kitchen.

I didn't bother looking at who it was as my only focus was Jieun and her safety.

"Y/N," a masculine voice called out, my body being turned towards his direction.

Even if my body was already turned to the man, my gaze is still focused on Jieun in the living room (which can be seen from the kitchen).

He held my cheek and made me face him. It was Jungkook. He looked so worried. "Hey, look at me. Focus on me."

My tears immediately fell like a waterfall. I couldn't bring myself to speak proper words as only sobs came out. "No-not her too...", I managed to say.

He engulfed me in his embrace, my tears soaking his shirt but he didn't care at all. He gently caressed my back to calm me down, saying comforting words in between.

I heave a frustrated sigh as I pull myself together. "Okay. I'm good." I place my hands on his chest to let him know that he can pull away from the hug.

His eyes showed he wasn't convinced and he wasn't wrong. But I need to be strong for now.

We need to come up with something that'll put Kai in his place. Whatever their shit with Jungkook and the others must be resolved without violence. He is the Prime Alpha after all.

Everyone knows the punishment they'll face if they kill the Prime Alpha. And besides, I'd have to take over as his Luna and since he doesn't have any successor yet. Unless I pass on the position to the others.

But I'm not really sure if I could entrust superiority over all the alphas in Eastern Asia to any of those uneducated idiots. They don't even know the difference between a shovel and a trowel.

I myself is still doubting my own abilities to lead. Sure, leading a pack alongside Jungkook is fine. But leading alphas of packs? That's beyond what my powers can attain.

"Y/N," Lisa called out to me bringing me back from my train of thoughts. "She's looking for you."

"How is she awake already?" I ran to the living room and saw Jieun trying with all her might to sit up. Her eyes lit up when she saw me.

"Unnie!!" I tried to help her sit properly by supporting her back.

"Y/N, th-they're... they're coming for you..." She pants as she says her sentence due to the exhuastion and pain she's experiencing.

They're coming for me...

"You have to hide. Who knows what they'll do?!"

"Unnie, calm down. We'll talk about it later. You have to rest," I tried laying her back down but she fought back. She was so hell-bent on getting us far away.

"No! There's no time! W-we can ask Alpha  Carxon for refuge in the west."

"Unnie! No one's going anywhere. If they're planning something we'll be ready. I'll talk him out of it. If that doesn't work then we'll just have to follow the last resort. You have to calm down and tell me everything that happened. Okay?"

She didn't answer and just looked at me with thankful eyes. It was as if she was saying... goodbye...

She showed me the inside of her jacket. There was a timed bomb.

The next thing I know... Everything is pitch black...

* JUNGKOOK's P.O.V. *
Us males waited in the kitchen, admittedly eavesdropping on their conversation.

Namjoon was trying to calm Yoongi hyung down since elsewhere he was quite mad at Jieun for being their mole.

Everything was going smoothly until it didn't. There was a momentary silence. It was unusual and alarming. Even the two arguing men fell silent.

There and then, a big explosion came from where they were.

The five of us were quick enough hide behind the kitchen island to avoid getting hit by the bomb's impact.

Y/N...

We all went to what's left of the living room. There were seven girls instead of eight. The bomb must've came from Jieun.

Namjoon and Yoongi hyung came in shortly after, scared out of their minds. But my only focus was looking for Y/N.

I spotted her among all of the debris. There was a hint of blood on her legs. My legs ran as fast as they could to her location.

She lay there lifelessly, a rusty metal rod sticking out of her side, blood oozing out of her skin. Her head was also bleeding from a concussion.

"Y/N!!!" I lay her head on my lap and tried to wake her from her oblivion. I shouted her name while keeping pressure on the wound. She'd bleed to death if I take it out so I didn't move it an inch.

"Give me Y/N and we'll leave you alone," was the one voice all of us could clearly hear. It was Kai. They were here all along. They set Jieun as bait.

Taehyung and Jin hyung approached us, ready to protect us at all cost. Tae was my beta and Jin hyung was her's even if we haven't held a coronation ceremony yet.

I guess there's no 'peacefully' talking the situation now...
