She had on his shirt; his smell was seeping into her skin. Cassandra didn't mind.
Walking upstairs from the basement she felt rapped in the sleeves of his sweater. She closed the door behind her, listening to the washer; wash her yesterday body in his peppermint detergent.
Cassandra turned around to see his sleepy body greet her with a morning smile and tired eyes. She smiled, as he approached her. He lifted up his arms slowly, to wrap his hands around her waist.
She stepped back a little. "Wait let me brush my teeth," she said, as she covering her hand over her mouth. "I'll be right back I promise." Cassandra's face was turning a bright pink as she tried to scoot past him.
Jordan grabbed her waist as she tried to walk away, bringing her towards him. Allowing his hands to caress her hips gently. Cassandra's eyes were wide, and her hand was still covering her mouth.
"Come on sweetie, I hate to wait for one of your kisses." Smiling he pulled her in closer.
She refused taking her hands off of her mouth "But... But" she stammered. "I'll be right back, I promise." Jordan started to kiss her cheek and smiling.
She giggled, "Jordan, stop."
"Not until you give me a kiss." Stopping just a moment to look at her huge, brown eyes. "Cassandra Natalia Thomason, Give me a kiss. Now!" Trying to make a very serious face.
She laughed and backed up from his face to stare at his faded, freckles "I don't think so, now is not the magic word, Jordan Nathan Chesterfield."
He smiled helplessly, pleading with this eyes that seemed to grow larger "Please sweetie, may I please have a Cassandra kiss?" he asked.
She started to laugh and take her hands off her mouth. "Whatever, maybe just one before school."
Jordan's smiled faded; he looked scared and confused "Wait only one before school? I don't think I would last" his eyes grew sad.
Cassandra laughed and pulled his face in front of hers and said, "It was only a joke Jordan, lighten up"
She caressed his cheeks in between the palms of he hands, pulling his lips closer to hers gently allowing them to meet in the middle, heat rose from her lips to her cheeks, a sigh escaped from her mouth as he pulled her in tighter. Her arms started to wrap around his neck deepening the kiss until she melted in his arms, shifting the kiss from one mouth to the other. They shared a moment in time like no other. Barely batting an eyelash to the clock that kept ticking and the bell that would soon announce their tardy arrival.
