Chapter 10

"You did what?!" Tamera gasps.

I nod, halting my fingers from typing on my laptop and spinning my chair toward my bed. Tamera is on her phone, wearing the cutest pastel blue onesie pajama. "We kissed! And it was so—" I bring my fingers to my puckered lips, imitating the old chefs' kisses.

"Are you like a couple now then?"

I sigh, shaking my head. "We didn't get to talk about it. Well, he tried, but I just kept kissing him."

Tamera laughs. "Nöelle!"

"I'm sorry! I just thought it was a one-in-a-lifetime situation and took advantage of it. What do I do now?" I groan, throwing my head back dramatically.

"Well, are you guys still going to therapy? You could just subtly ask the doc to help you."

I nod. "Yeah, we have it in a couple of days, but Kevin is coming to sleep at mine tomorrow, and I don't think we're gonna stay put this time."

She raises an eyebrow. "You shaved, didn't you?"

My dark face warms up. "Not yet."

Tamera grins, her almond-shaped eyes thinning even more because of it. "I can't believe you're finally getting shagged!"

"I'm not, though! He's coming here for the therapist experiment; Nothing more, nothing less."

Tamera's phone decides to go off now. My head tilts to the side, only to have my eyes pop out when she shows me who's calling her.

At the speed of light, I join her in bed. Tam's phone is pressed in between her ear and mine. A low voice says, "Hey, you busy tonight?"

Real classy Andros. I roll my eyes. I don't know what the hell she sees in him.

"So you disappear for days, and that's the first thing you say?" she asks.

"Are you really doing this over the phone? I'm coming to yours. Open the door in two minutes." Tamera doesn't have time to talk back that he hangs up.

"I don't know what you see in him," I say, shaking my head as I watch a grin linger on her lips.

Her dark eyes are ready to seize up her crush. She bolts out of the room, faster than speedy Gonzales.

I take the alone time to continue my writing but soon get interrupted by the couple outside. The walls are thin, so unless they go inside someone's room, I can clearly hear everything.

Tamera and Andros begin fighting about Andros's selfishness and Tamera's possessiveness before moving it to her bedroom. I'm surprised at the number of times they fight in the bedroom but never end up doing anything.

A strange couple.

I sigh, putting the code that unlocks my neighbor's door building. The strap of my duffel bag is on my shoulder as I walk up to Kevin's flat. Upon entering, Mr. Bailey walks out of the bathroom in all his beauty.

A white towel is hanging around his waist as water drops down to it from his sculpted chest. I gape, starstruck.

His green eyes widen as he freezes on the spot. "Why are you here?" he slowly asks, frowning.

"I. . ." I blink a few times. My hand comes to my beating heart, trying to calm it down a bit. "I'm sorry. . . ?" It comes out as a question.

Kevin looks confused, as he should. What was I thinking? "Do you need. . . something?" he asks.
