I don't know how long I cried. I just remember Damon's caring words. The 'you'll be okay's' and 'everythings gonna be Fine's soothed my rapidly beating heart.
"Megan! Tyler's here!" Matt calls from downstairs.
After I told Damon about Tyler he left. Hopefully to find Stefan.
I finish pulling up my dark denim jeans. The slide into my black sheer button up shirt over my black tank top. I slip my feet into my converse. Run down the stairs at normal spped and kiss Matt on the cheek.
"Are you sure you can't come?" I ask.
"Yeah, you two go have fun. Tyler I want her home SAFELY by midnight." He emphasized the word and I laugh.
"Don't worry, Matt. I'd never hurt her." Tyler said as he puts his arm around my waist.
"I'll see you later, Mattie." I smile.
"See ya, Megan." Matt said and me and Tyler leave.
We hop into his Jeep. Tyler starts driving. We go through town, past the school, then over Wickery Bridge.
"So, where were you today?" Tyler asked as we drive through the night.
"I got sick, Stefan took me to his house. Took me home when I was better." I lie.
"What kind of sick?"
"I threw up. It must've been something I ate." I shrug as we then onto a dirt path through the woods.
"Are you sure your not...uhhhh you know...pregnant." I heard him gulp. I laugh.
"I'm pretty sure." I said. Vampires can't reproduce anyways. Kinda sucks, I'd always wanted a family of my own.
"Okay, good. My parents would kill me."
"And Matt would kill me." I chuckle. Tyler smiles as he parks.
We get out and Tyler is greeted by almost the entire football team. Tyler is the quarterback, so I guess it makes sense. I look around and realize, I don't have any friends here.
"Megan." I look over and I swear I thought I'd die when I was Elena waving me over to her, Bonnie, and Caroline. I smile as I walk over to the trio.
"Hey, Elena." I said.
"Hey. This is Bonnie and Caroline. Guys this is Megan, she's staying with Matt." Elena said.
"And dating Tyler Lockwood." Caroline wiggled her eyebrows and I blush. The four of us laugh.
"Elena where's Stefan?" Bonnie asked. I was thinking the same thing.
"He called me earlier, he has to leave town for a while. He promised that he'd be back soon." She told us. Nice save, Stefan, nice save.
"Well we hope he gets back soon." I said and the other girls nod at Elena.
"How's living with Matt, Megan?" Caroline asked.
"Pretty good. I get to sleep in Vickie's old room. Mattie makes me breakfast all the time. The only bad thing is that he's super protective."
"Probably because you call him Mattie." Bonnie suggested.
"What do you mean?" I ask.
"Vickie used to call him that. He used to make her chocolate chip pancakes every morning. He always made sure she was home by midnight." Elena said.
