"So, I've finished the charms." Aria, my best friend, comes into the silence we all sit in and hands back everyone their items. "As long as you all wear these nothing magical or evil can hurt you, physically."
"Thanks, Aria." Erik said. Aria smiles as she sits down on the other side of me.
"If I'm gonna be here, I'm gonna need blood so I don't try to kill anyone." I speak up.
"I know where the vamps keep their stash. Come on." Erik and I stand.
"We'll come up with a plan!" Aphrodite called to us as me and Erik walk out into the hallway.
We make our way down the stairs, out the door, and onto the pavement sidewalk.
"Why did you and Zoey break up? She seems nice." I ask.
"She cheated on me with a professor. I walked in on the two of them having sex after Stevie Rae died. I've been torn ever since."
"I'm so sorry."
"Don't be. I'm better without her." He smiled at me and I return the smile.
"You are very hypnotizing, Erik Night." I said.
"And you are very pretty, Megan Pierce. And unique, special, smart, and you have the most beautiful smile I've ever seen." Tears start to well in my eyes.
"Oh, stop. Your just saying that."
"No, I'm not. Your so beautiful. The moon clasps all of your gorgeousness and it makes your complexion shine. You are as beautiful as our goddess Nyx. Your beyond everything I've ever imagined." He said as he stops and looks in my eyes.
"This will never work, Erik." I smile as he cups my face in his hands.
"The mistakes in life are always the most memorable. And I hope I never forget you."
That's when it happened. That's when everything started going downhill. I knew things would never be the same. My blood goes still and freezes after boiling at the sound of the croaking raven that came towards us.
"Erik, watch out!!" I push Erik out of the way of the raven. Its claws grab my shoulders before I could scream.
"Megan!" Erik called after me as I'm being carried away by the raven offspring of my ancestor.
"Run, Erik!!" I yell before I loose all vision of Erik as I'm lifted away. I sigh and try to control my breathing while I'm in the air. I can't loose my sanity or humanity, I promised.
The raven croaks as it let's go of me and I fall onto a concreted asphalted parking lot. Its pitch black so I decide not to move. I can't even hear the raven anymore. I think I'm all alone.
"Hello, Ms.Pierce." The seductive voice came from the sake, but I just smile and shake my head.
"Damon Salvatore, you almost have me a heart attack." I laugh as Damon comes over to me.
"I promised Stefan I wouldn't let anything happen to you. I was listening to you and those other fledglings or whatever they are. I'm here to help. That and Matt wanted me to keep and eye on you. And don't forget about Katherine." He said.
"What was with the raven?" I ask.
"Its my thing. I guess me and Kalona are a lot alike."
"I really need to get back, Damon. They're all gonna be running around terrified."
"That means more time for Kalona to rise. Sorry, Megan." Damon grabs my head and twists.
