Chapter 6 : Kisses

All my life I've been asking myself, Did I do something wrong? Is it still not enough? What should I do? How can I make her happy?

But now I know why. I'm not her real daughter. Yes, anak ako sa labas. The maid that has been taking care of me all along was my real mother. So the moment my mother, I mean my step-mother found out that the maid is my real mom, she fired her immediately. And I felt so angry. She's been quiet all along and doing well. I really hate her.

"You better fetch some investors. Or else...", my step mother treathened me while grabbing my hair. I nodded more than 10 times just to assure her.

She walked away and left me in the dressing room. I saw my sisters talking and I'm sure they're talking about me. I even catched one of their gaze and smirks at me. I am so tired of this. I am so tired of everything. I miss my dad.

This birthday party is not fun. I don't feel any excitement nor happiness through this. This is not a birthday party... This is an investing party. Omygosh I hate that word.

My step mom ordered me to persuade or fetch (let me borrow her words) potential investors to invest in our company. She even ordered me to flirt with their sons. Omygosh She's so EVIL. And sadly, Ashton is one of them.

Yes, I have been using Ashton all along and I really feel sorry to him. My step mom almost killed me knowing that Ashton is engaged to someone else and beat me up really hard. But since it was broke. My mission needs to continue.

I am slowly falling to Ashton. He's a really nice guy. And at this point, I am enjoying this mission. I want to marry him. I want to be with him, forever.

Ashton went inside the dressing room and I was so shocked by his beauty. Omygosh he looks so charming! Like a handsome prince.

I felt my heart racing so fast. I don't know what to do. I can't even look directly to his eyes. And I like this feeling.

"Are you okay?", he asked while pating my shoulder. I felt my cheeks burning. They are Burning Hot! Omygosh!

"Y-yeah, o-ofcourse I'm f-fine.", omygosh I'm even stuttering. He smiled at me and my heart raced even moreee.

"The party's about to start. Enjoy every moment.", he cheered and kissed my cheek.

I started to became nervous, I was actually planning to tell him tonight that I was using him.

I tried to smile at him, and we waited on the backstage.

"Let's all welcome... The star of the night! Nathalie Shannon Salvador!", The emcee called my name. Am I really the star of the night? Cause I can't feel it. I saw my step-mom staring at me outside the backstage and makes me feel more nervous.

I went on the stage together with Ashton. I saw Lerica and her friends. I smiled at her. I won't forget what she did for me. I am so thankful to her. I'll treat her nice from now on.

"I am so thankful to each and everyone who is here to celebrate a big, great, and a very special day with me. Specially, to my parents, relatives, and friends.", I started my speech. It's actually memorized, not from my heart. I only did what my step-mom gave me. And I needed to do it.
