~A few hours later~

As soon as I step foot in the helicarrier, I'm taken to a room where Alexander Pierce is taking to the council. I glare at him as he stares at me.

He says,"You seem to be forgetting who you work for."

I reply,"I work for no one. I BELONG to NO ONE."

I quickly snap the necks of the Hydra agents behind me and get a knife out. I start towards him but someone grabs me and throws me away. I look up and see Bucky there.

I say,"James."

Pierce says,"Knock her out. We can use her as leverage."

Bucky looks torn as he looks down at me.

I say,"James, remember what I asked you. Last night, at the diner."

Steve over comms: WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!

He is trying to fight it and I frame his face with my hands.

I say,"I told you to think about it. Then we went back to OUR Home."

Steve: You need to get out of there.

James hands land on my wrists and he's fighting his conditioning so hard.

I say,"We then made love for the first time."

He leans his forehead against mine and the comm link in my ear has gone silent.

I say,"James, I love you."

James looks at me with wide eyes and tears fall from my eyes.

"Longing, rusted, seventeen, daybreak, furnace."

James grip on my wrists tighten to a painful level and I see him fighting it. The tears fa down my face and I claim his lips. He kisses me back and I pull away slowly. His hands drop from my wrists.

"nine, benign, homecoming, one, freight car.", Pierce finishes.

The switch is fully flipped and James is gone. My legs give out and I collapse in front of the Winter Soldier. The sobs wrack my body as the man I love has disappeared.

Pierce says,"Take her to the doctor. He'll fix her."

Winter Soldier grabs a fistful of my hair and drags me as I cry and struggle against him. Im knocked out and when I come to, I'm in the base. I'm thrown into a chair and strapped down. The machine is there and it comes towards me. It starts up and I scream in pain. I yank against my restraints and scream for James until I can't even remember his name.

Darkness takes over my mind and I relish it.

Authors POV

Steve is trying to get away from the HYDRA agents shooting at him on the Helicarrier.

Steve says,"Hey, Sam, I'm gonna need a ride."

Sam replies," Roger! Let me know when you're ready."

Steve just manages to jump off the edge as a HYDRA agent shoots a missile at him.

Steve says,"I just did!"

Sam flies in just in time to catch Steve. Sam flies himself and Steve onto the last Helicarrier.

Sam says,"You know, you're a lot heavier than you look."
Steve replies sarcastically," I had a big breakfast."

Suddenly, Bucky appears and pushes Steve off the edge.

Sam exclaims,"Steve!"

As Sam goes to fly off and help Steve Bucky grabs one of his wings and throws him back. Sam starts shooting at Bucky and as he goes to fly off. Bucky uses his weapon to rip off one of Sam's wings and kicks him off the Helicarrier. Sam manages to get his parachute out and lands on the roof of the Triskelion.
