(The First Hearing)

(Outside the Courtroom)

(8 am)

Your eyes shone and glimmered as you stood outside the doors of your assigned courtroom, taking a deep breath. Today was the day all the mess that made its way to your life would get cleared and everything would be remodelled. 

So you thought!

You were here before time. In your suit and hair open, you looked like a businesswoman. However, the doctor in you kicked in as you saw the blood of a mosquito you just squished, smear over your palm. "Ugh-" You cleaned your hand with a tissue and took out your pocket-sanitiser to sterilize it to the minimum.

A hand slowly snuck up to your shoulder from your waist.

Before you could say anything, he went, "BOO!" You yelled reacting to the spontaneous act.

"YOU INSOLENT BRAT! COME HERE, PARK JIMIN!" You both ran while you were chasing him all around the courtyard in front of the building. 

Just when he bumped into a middle-aged lady, you stopped. He had run right onto her chest. His cheeks were tomato red out of embarrassment and he lowered his eyes as he sincerely apologized to her.

"I take it you are here for your hearing, young man?" She fixed her glasses and asked Jimin in a stern manner. Her curly hair falling over her shoulders, Jimin stared at her in intimidation.

"Ye-yes, ma'am," he stammered.

"Then I suppose you can be on your best behaviour while you're present before the law?" She stared at him with her white-bright eyes fixated over his own tiny ones.

He just nodded his head up and down till she left the yard and entered the building.

You took a minute to process the entire thing. Did Park Jimin just get windy because of an old woman?

"Jimin?" You softly approached him, keeping a hand on his shoulder. He looked at you as if he was about to faint. "Huh... Let's go, Y/n. This is the court," he wrapped his arm around your neck and dragged you ahead, "Remember to behave."

What just happened-

(8:30 am)

Jin just reached along with Jungkook. They both made sure all the evidence was handed over to Chris, who would meet you all in the courtroom; and they weren't missing out on anything.

While Jungkook entered... "Hi, Y/n!"

"Jungkook, behave!" Jimin scolded him. "You? Behave? What's wrong with him?" Jungkook asked, weirded out.

"He got disciplined by a grown ass woman. She scared him." You tattled, following which, both of you laughed on him. He left the area, angered as heck.

Taehyung apparently couldn't decide what to wear earlier so he reached right when the trial was about to start-

(9 am)

"Judge Suru will now enter, all rise!" The bailiff announced as the judge entered and sat down after making eye contact of less than a second with the audience. She asked you all sit and talked to the bailiff for a moment.

The one who reacted in the quickest and intense manner was Jimin. 

The judge was the lady he had bumped into this morning. He felt like the rug had been swept from under his feet. His jaw dropped and his eyes stayed wide open while his throat felt extremely dry.

You were so amused and it took you everything to keep your laughter to yourself. Seeing Jimin in such a state was so entertaining for you. Anyhow, how controlled it and paid attention to what was happening in the room.

Once everything was settled, the bailiff announced, "The court is now in session."

Justice Suru spoke, "Case 24/53/5786. The accused, M. Yoongi, on the 20th of March, 2021; pled not-guilty on being charged with assault, kidnapping and murder. In the continuity of that, this trial is being held today, on the 24th of March, 2021."

"Is the prosecution ready?"

Chris Hemsworth rose and agreed.

"Is the defence ready?"

Yoongi's defence lawyer, who was sitting beside an annoyed Yoongi, Lee Joon Gi said, "Yes, your honour."

"Okay," Judge Suru acknowledged. "Now, we will hear opening statements from the prosecution."
