JASON NOVOA LOOKED UP, HIS SMILE DISAPPEARING WHEN HE SAW WHO IT WAS WHO WALKED THROUGH THE DOOR. Daniel Miller. The human who his girlfriend was obsessed with finding. With Gigi holding onto his arm.

Jason flicked his hand up, surprised to see the two, and ended up hitting Daniel in the face with the platter.

"W-wait a second, how did you just do that?" Gigi asked.

"Do what?" Jason faked confusion.

"Um, hello? The flying..." Gigi paused, moving and tapping on some of the food that had landed on Daniel. "The flying...salmon."

"What just happened?" Daniel questioned, confused and panicked.

"Guys, there is a simple, explanation for this," Andi says.   She paused, unsure. But, as Katie walked past, she exclaimed the girls name, trying to get her to attention. "Katie! Why don't you, uh, tell Daniel over here why there's a candlelit dinner that appeared out of nowhere."

"Oh, right," Kate nervously chuckled. "It was.."

"Definitely not magic!" Sofie yelled out.

"Um, a mind trick! See, your photoreceptors were so busy collecting visual information that your cognitive energy caused you to see something that wasn't... really there."

"What?" Daniel asked, still confused.

"Ooh! I love it when Katie speaks science," Sofie smiled, looking at her friend.

Katie sighed. "Sometimes your brain sees stuff that isn't there."

"Boom, there you have it." Andi speaks.

"Simple math." Jason says.
