"And I still can't believe that just happened." Andi laughed, both Novoa boys agreeing. "I know, right, it's so awesome."
But, as Jason had gotten a look from Emma, him immediately 'correcting' himself. He didn't think he was wrong. "I-I- I mean, um, how terrible was that?"
Malachi glanced up at Jax, who only smiled at him. Kai shrugged his shoulders. It's not like Daniel got hurt. "Foam...lots of...foam."
Everyone smiled at the zombie boy. "My dad is pretty mad. So is Desemonda." Kai picked up his pizza, taking a bite. "When isn't she mad? 'Emma, you are the Chosen one' 'ugh, humans' 'those Novoa boys are only trouble.' 'Kai, you are not allowed to hide in the nurse's room under the table to read.'"
Everyone turned to him, either smiles or raised eyebrows. "Wait? Daniel wouldn't stop pestering me about...anyway, she says that I'm not allowed in the nurse's office unless it's an emergency."
