Louis
This was it.
They had just announced Harry on the stage. The black emptiness of the room was slowly beginning to be filled by the faint golden glow of light illuminating outward from the middle of the stage, creating a tall and thin silhouette of a man that Louis knew all too well. Liam squeezed his arm reassuringly as the light began to creep through the entire room and started showing a band surrounding Harry around the stage. When the light was full enough that Louis could see Harry's face, he noticed that there was a hint of sadness in the glimmer of Harry's formerly vibrant eyes. They were still beautiful though.
In the silence, Louis watched as Harry turned his head to a man in his band slowly, looking for reassurance. The man nodded back to him and Harry closed his eyes and turned back to the mic as the soft hint of symbols began to echo throughout the room.
'Hey!'
On the first word of the song, the lights flashed and became as bright as the sun while the rest of the band joined in to create a beautiful and bright sounding melody.
'Golden, golden, golden
As I open my eyes

Louis noticed that as Harry was singing the song through a smile, his eyes still seemed dim. Louis knew the meaning of the lyrics instantly. Every morning when they woke up Harry used to look over at Louis and shield his eyes in a playful manner and when Louis would ask him what he was doing he would simply reply, "you're just way to bright for me, Lou." Harry had worshipped Louis like he was the sun. The song continued as Harry sang,

Louis' heart skipped because he had told Harry that before. No matter how secure he felt with Harry, he was always afraid.

Louis didn't want to be alone either...But why had neither of them ever said anything? It's been 6 years and now Louis knew that Harry was feeling the same way that he was. Did Harry think that Louis had moved on?

Wow ok...Harry wasn't even trying to hide it anymore. Liam had turned to face Louis sporting the same adoring smile he had shown when Harry had started talking about organic guacamole in the interview a few years ago. Louis had to stop himself from laughing because management had made him...Louis had to think to himself for a second because, there's no way these could be the actual lyrics...Liam would have told him for sure. Regardless, a smile had crept onto his face and he couldn't seem to peel his eyes away from Harry's, which had locked with his again as he had said these last words. Even when they were still in the band Louis had always been hesitant to open up to who he really was. He was always open around Harry but in public it seemed different. Louis always noticed how Harry never felt any different in public than he did in private. The familiar guilt that he felt when he would see Harry's face after he denied rumors in public was creeping back into his head as he looked deep into Harry's eyes for the second time that night...

With the amount of emotion vibrating off of Harry's words right now, Louis would be surprised if there was still a dry eye left in the room. The song finished with the last angelic 'da da da da' echoing off of Harry's voice. Louis watched as Harry took a short bow facing directly towards him and left the stage. Louis heard Liam say from next to him,
"Well now we know..."
"Know what?" Louis responded.
"That Harry's still in love with you."
Liam smiled knowingly at Louis as he noticed his eyes light up. He knew that Louis was still in love too.
The question now was who would act on it first...
