Riley followed Jen through the halls of the building. The walls and ceiling were cement, but the floor was checkered with black and white tiles.

Riley took this time to compare Jen's appearance to her own. Jen's hair was long and black. While Riley's hair was also long, it was brown and faded into an almost blond color at the tips. Both girls had tanned skin and a thin structure.

Riley noticed that Jen still looked fairly young, and decided to ask Jen her age. After Riley asked she immediately regretted it, realizing it sounded quite rude.

        Jen answered anyway.

        "I'm twenty-three. You?" she answered.

"Fourteen," Riley said, thankful for the quiet being trampled for a short time.

"Where are we going?" Riley asked hoping to keep the quiet at a minimal, for it made her uncomfortable.

"We are going to the Dragon Scars headquarters. At the headquarters, we will need to figure out what you will train for first," Jen said.

"Um, can I ask you another question?" Riley asked wanting to be more involved in the situation.

"You said that a while ago, but sure," Jen answered slightly annoyed again.

"What were you and that man talking about when you shot him?"

"That would be a question I cannot answer. He wasn't doing his job. That is all I can say of that matter," Jen said with some sadness in her voice, because inside, she really wanted to tell Riley.

Riley and Jen continued on their way to the headquarters. Although not far, the distance felt to Riley as though it was miles, for the silence lasted for a long time before the two arrived.
