You Came to Me

Prefaces.

Hello!

I know this fanfics target audience probably won't find this as most of the Luimelia fandom aren't native English speakers, but maybe it can reach a new audience who will discover the ship for the first time.

I have decided to write a Luimelia fanfic mostly because I needed a place to get these ideas out of my head. There is a ~small~ gap in the market for English Luimelia fanfics and retellings of Luisita and Amelia's story set in 1975 Amar, so I thought I'd share my contribution.

I have never written anything before and I find it a little vulnerable to have other people read my words, but I hope I do okay.

I'd like to say that I am not Spanish or Latin American, I do not speak Spanish, and I have I never lived a second in the 1970s, so if anything is inaccurate please let me know and I will do my best to revise it.

As for the story, I am not following the Amar plot exactly, in fact, I have deviated from the course quite a lot. I wanted to write from the POV of Luisita and Amelia to gain a further understanding into their backgrounds, thoughts, experiences, desires, and emotions; things that I wish were explored deeper in Amar.

Chapter 1 is written from the POV of Luisita, chapter 2 is from Amelia's and every chapter onwards will alternate between the two.

Each chapter will be named after a moon in the solar system, but this may change later if I run out of them. I would also like to add that at the top of each chapter you will see the date published and word count, as well as the location, month, and year. These chapters are not being written as if they are letters or diary entries, this information is just to establish the setting and time.

P.S. - The name "You Came to Me" is a song by my favorite band, Beach House. I believe the lyrics of this song to be quite fitting for what I intend to write.
