Chapter 29: Carnival Date
Saturday 7:30am
I stretch out my arm to feel if Ryan's there. I don't feel anyone. Was it just a dream? I realize it's not a dream when I smell pancakes. I get up, slip on my slippers and put my hair in a bun. I go downstairs to the kitchen. I see Ryan flipping pancakes. He already has the table set. I stand next to him and watch him. He's so focused on making the pancakes I don't think he notices me. I go to the living room and let him make his pancakes. I see a sticky note on the door.
Jackie,
I'm going with Leah to her parents house for a week. Be good and be careful but I'm not worried you have Finley, Loke, and now Ryan to protect you. But remember they aren't going to protect you forever, it's time for you to start protecting yourself. With that said, see you in a week.
Love, LiamHow does he know Ryan is here? He probably saw him or heard him talking last night. The only other possibility is Loke must have told him. It doesn't matter if Liam knows he's here anyway.
"Jackie." I hear Ryan call from the kitchen. I walk into the kitchen and his breakfast looks amazing, it's just like the first time he made breakfast for me.
"Breakfast is served." He says. I giggle. He's so cute. I sit down on the chair next to him. We eat our breakfast while talking about what happened in the last 6 years. I tell him everything, and he tells me a lot of things too but I feel like he's hiding something. He talks about the girls that flirted with him and I just laugh.
"But I always told them I already love someone so they need to back the fuck up." Ryan says. I laugh. He hasn't changed at all. I smile and he smiles back. I kiss his cheek and then finish my breakfast. When I finish, I wash my dishes.
"I'm only letting you wash your dishes because I'm not done eating." I hear Ryan say. I giggle. He's only half way done with his pancakes. I finish washing the dishes and go upstairs to take a shower. When I'm done taking my shower I walk down the hall to my room. I open the door and Ryan's sitting on my bed scrolling through his phone. I walk to my closet and take out a t-shirt, jeans, converse, and my phone. I change quickly and show Ryan.
"How do I look?" I ask Ryan while spinning. I stop when I start to get dizzy and laugh.
"You look..." He starts and then stares at me. He seems so surprised for some reason.

Ryan's POV-
I stare at her. She looks so different. When I first came last night I didn't notice her appearance and how much she's changed. She's curvier than before, her hair is short and dyed purple at the bottom, and I also noticed that something it peeking out from under her shirt, I think its a tattoo. It seems like she's also gotten a bit paler probably from lack of going outside. And she has braces! She's so much more cuter than before.
"You look amazing." I blurt and tackle her to the ground. She lets out a little oof when her butt hits the ground. I chuckle her voice even got cuter. She's changed so much. Hopefully her personality hasn't changed at all. I get off of her and stand up. She gets up and playfully punches my shoulder.
"You ready to go?" I ask her. She nods.
"I just need to get my hoodie and that's it." She says and runs to her closet. She comes back with a black hoodie on. She looks amazing but then again when doesn't she. I begin to walk downstairs and she follows me. We walk outside.
"You still have your motorcycle?" Jackie asks.
"Yup, it's been a long time since you've ridden it, if you know what I mean." I say with a smirk.
