"I love you." Aurora whispered through the phone as she began to cry. She peered over the edge at the large drop of the cliff. "But I'm so sad."

"Aurora...." she heard him moving on the other side of the phone. "Are you at home?"

"You're my home." her voice cracked. "It hurts, Liam."

"Aurora, baby, tell me where you are?" she heard him open a door and the sound of his heavy breathing.

"I don't know if I should." she whispered shakily. "I haven't make up my mind yet."

Liam gulped audibly on the other end, "on what?"

"Whether to do it or not." she cried quietly. "I don't want it to hurt."

"Aurora, tell me where you are." He pleaded. "Please, baby, you're scaring me."

"I'm scaring myself." she admitted as she looked back over the ledge. "I love you."

"Stop saying that like you're saying goodbye." Liam ordered as he tried to keep his voice steady. "I'm not losing you Aurora Stilinski. If I did, it would destroy me. You can't do this to me."

"I know." she whimpered. "That's why I'm hesitating to jump. I don't want to hurt you."

The minute he heard jump Liam knew exactly where she was, but she didn't care. She was mentally messed up and she was prepared to just put an end to it.

"Aurora, I'm on my way baby." his voice broke a little, "Keep talking to me. Just keep talking to me so I know you're still there."

"I'm sorry." she whispered. "I don't know if I can."

"Then listen to me." Liam spoke. "Listen to my voice. Do you remember the first time I kissed you? In the well. It was the most inconvenient time but I had to do it."

"I remember."

"What about the time you showed up to my house in the middle of the night? The night I asked you to be my girlfriend. I tickled you until you were laughing so hard tears were falling from your eyes. I remember holding you while we slept and just thinking about how damn lucky I was to call you mine. I love you so much. So please just hold on for me."

"Okay." Aurora whimpered.

"I love you so much Aurora. I was so fucking stupid to break up with you today and not let you explain, but I do love you. You mean the world to me and I'd give up everything if it meant I got to hold you again. I can't do this without you and you can't do this without me." Liam said on the other line. "I'm almost there baby."

Aurora looked down at the promise ring on her finger.

"You promised it was forever." she whispered.

"And I meant it. I meant it more than I've ever meant anything before. You're my favorite person in the whole world and I was so fucking stupid earlier. Please don't jump, Aurora. I can't live without you. I know you're in pain and I know that it hurts. But I'll help you. I'll be there for you, hell I'll stay with you every single night if it helps you get better. I'd drop everything I have going on just to help you. You are so strong. You've been through so much."

Aurora choked on a sob. "Please hurry."

"I am. Please just wait for me baby." Liam begged. "Are you by the edge? Can you take some steps back for me?"

Aurore sniffled. She didn't reply but took a few steps back from the ledge. Liam was talking in her ear about almost being there, but his words sounded muffled in her head. She scrunched her eyes shut and brought a hand up to her hair, tugging harshly.

"Rory?" Liam called worriedly, snapping her out of her fatal thoughts. "I'm almost there. Stay where you are, okay?"

"Okay." she croaked out.

She listened as she heard his running on the other side. His breaths came out short and fast from a mixture of panic and exercise.

Then the noises weren't coming from the phone anymore but from behind her. Glancing over her shoulder, Aurora watched through teary eyes as Liam raced to her, skidding to a stop and grabbing her immediately.

Aurora couldn't talk as she held held onto him like her life depended on it. His hands buried in her hair as his frame began to shake. She realized he was crying too, her heart breaking.

"I'm sorry." her voice came out weak as she tried to be heard over her own cries. "I'm so sorry."

Liam hushed her and held her close.

"I didn't want to be a burden." she reached up and rubbed her eye. "I had nobody else to call."

"Aurora Dove Stilinski," Liam shook his head, jaw clenched. "You are not a burden, not to me, not to anyone. I love you so fucking much. You can call me whenever you need me. Even if you don't you can still call me. I will always answer because you are the best thing that has ever happened to me."

He pulled away slightly and cupped her face. She looked up at him through tearful eyes.

"Ever since I laid my eyes on you, I thought you were the most beautiful girl in the world. I went home and even told my mom about you." Aurora chuckled lightly. "I told her how you kept making jokes about my hair being spikey and about how you laughed at my jokes and called me funny. I told her about how you said I had a cute nose and beautiful eyes. She told me you were a keeper and she could not have been more right."

Aurora nodded as she tried to hold back her own tears.

"The first time I kissed you, even if it was in a well, I thought my heart was going to explode. I couldn't believe you liked me back. Every time you got hurt, I felt sick to my stomach. Because I love so much. More than anything in this entire world. You are my main priority. I know I've said this before but I can't imagine my life without you. If--if you did what you came here to do, then everything would be ruined. Us getting married, our honeymoon, us having beautiful kids together, growing old together..... I want to do that all with you, and if you do this...."

He didn't need to finish. Aurora understood what he was trying to say. She didn't need anything except for Liam. He could help her be happy again. She didn't need anybody else to experience love or comfort. She just needed him.

"So you can't leave me." he shook his head again as he didn't stop the tears from falling. "I'm a selfish person and I won't let you."

Liam reached forward and wiped the salty tears from her cheeks. Her head fell forward onto his chest as her hands bunched up the sweatshirt he was wearing.

"I love you." she whispered. "I love you, Liam." she sobbed.

Liam held onto her for what felt like hours, neither of them saying a word or attempting to move. Eventually Liam, called Stiles and told him to pick them up.

Stiles got there and didn't ask any questions as Liam climbed into the jeep with Aurora situated on his lap. She had her arms tight around his neck and she didn't plan on letting go.

Liam knew she was sad, but he had no idea how much. Aurora was always the optimist everybody loved to be around. He felt like shit for breaking her heart when she was struggling more than ever. But now that he knew, he wasn't wasn't going to stop trying until he knew she was okay.

Because Liam Dunbar was in love with Aurora Stilinski. And he knew that feeling would never fade.
