It was nearly ten at night and Whinnie and I hadn't dared to leave the hotel room. We nearly had a heart attack when the door opened, and were greatly relieved to see it was just Whinnie's parents.
I know, stupid to think those guys could've gotten ahold of the key cards, but after what had happened earlier we were both sharply on edge.
"Hey girls! Too excited for tomorrow to sleep are ya?" Her dad greeted cheerfully as he took off his shoes. Whinnie and I looked at each other nervously and gave a nod.
They couldn't know. They'd freak out too much.
"Well, I want you two to at lest try to get some sleep, alright? I know tomorrow is a big day, but you still need rest. Gotta look good for those guys, am I right?" Whinnie's mom asked as she went off to the bathroom to get into her pajamas.
"Ya got that right, Mom!" Whinnie called after her as she pulled the covers up to her chin, staring up at the ceiling.
I gave her a sympathetic look, knowing exactly what she was thinking of. I was thinking of giving her a hug or something of reassurance, but if I didn't want anyone to touch me even on the shoulder then I would assume she would feel the exact same, so I turned over on my side and closed my eyes, trying to find sleep.

My dreams were disturbed. Whinnie and I were at the 5sos concert, but every now and then it would break apart and the elevator scene would start playing, soon overpowering my concert dream and becoming the only thing I could see. This was going to kill me and it was going to kill me fast.
"Come on girls, the boys won't wait any longer!"
The sound of Whinnie's mom's voice made me shoot up out of my dream, hair sticking to my face from a cold sweat.
"Too hot last night?" her mom asked, and I nodded, running a hand through my hair and rubbing my face.
"I need a shower." I told her, getting out of bed and grabbing white skinny jeans and my black 5sos t-shirt from my bag and head into the bathroom, shutting and locking the door.
Turning the shower on, I began to undress, remembering how Ryan had stripped me down.
I shuddered and looked away from the mirror, ignoring the bruises on my hips and arms as I stepped into the shower.
Normally people would describe it as relaxing because of the hot, steamy water calming their muscles, but I felt like I was suffocating.
I showered as quickly as I could, nearly falling down a few times.
By the time I stepped out, the edges of my vision were spotted with blurry blackness.
I dried off as quickly as I could and yanked my clothes on, quick to exit the bathroom and into the air conditioned hotel room.
Whinnie raised an eyebrow at me, but I shook my head. Seeming to understand, she gave me a slight nod before going into the bathroom herself.
I put on black ankle socks and black converse.
Noticing the very visible bruises on my wrists, I quickly pulled a Luke and put on band bracelets and string friendship bracelet-like bracelets, satisfied that it also covered a year old habit of mine.
Smiling at my accomplishment and knowing today was the actual one year anniversary of it, I brushed out my hair and shook it out, giving it a slightly messy look.
I patiently waited for Whinnie to get done in the shower by lying on the bed on Instagram. I went to my secret account and posted about it being a full year as of today and started getting congratulatory comments.
Finally, Whinnie got out of the bathroom almost five minutes before we had to leave.
"Come on, let's get going a little early!" I told them as I hopped off of the bed, stuffing my fully charged phone in my pocket. I wanted to get plenty of pictures and videos of the guys, that is, if I could see them very well from the lawn seats. I really had hoped we could have gotten closer seats, but at least I'm seeing them live at all.
"Fine then, let's go." Whinnie's dad said, grabbing his car keys and key card, following the three of us out the door and locking it behind us.
I looked to Whinnie and we both squealed excitedly, her mom jumping slightly.
"Goodness, girls! Get that out at the concert." She said with a laugh.
"Okay then let's go for the millionth time!" I told them and excitedly pressed the button for the lobby in the elevator, the memories of yesterday pressed firmly in the back on my mind. Right now all I could think of was the boys and stupid scenarios of meeting them.
