—-Michael's POV—-
It had been Luke's idea to meet the fans from the lawn, and I couldn't argue with that decision. First of all it was absurdly nice since we were all dead tired and just wanted to go to sleep. Secondly it was an opportunity to get to know some of the people that loved our music.
It was amusing seeing all of the people that were freaking out and speechless about meeting me and the others. To us we were just some guys from Australia, but to the fans I guess we were much more than that.
I was surprised at myself that I had singled one girl out in particular. It was unlike me and I didn't even know what I was saying until she was sitting on the couch behind me. I didn't know what came over me, but it seemed like the guys weren't going to question it, so I tried to let it be as I met with the rest of the fans.
—-Stella's POV—-
I was surprisingly calm for someone that was sitting in 5 Seconds of Summer's dressing room, waiting for the rest of the girls to get done and leave so I could have alone time with them that Michael Clifford himself had requested. Most girls in my spot would probably have passed out by now that or would be restless, but I was sitting still and calmly, staring at the boys in complete awe. They were even more beautiful in person.
I didn't think the time would come for the girls to finally stop filing in through the door, but when it did the sudden realization of my situation flashed upon me. I was going to be alone in a room with my four most favorite people of all time. I was not mentally okay. I was probably going to have a heart attack, but I forced myself to remain calm. I guess years of living in a certain environment with the parents I had had really prepared me for this moment then. I forced myself to stop thinking about my parents and focused more on the boys as they all came over and collapsed onto the couch, all exhausted. After a few minutes of silence, Calum sat up and spoke.
"Michael, how about you quit falling asleep and talk to Stella. You wanted to keep her here for extra time and it won't be spent by you sleeping through it all." He scolded Michael, Michael sitting upward from my left, throwing a pillow at Calum's face.
"Shut up, Calum! I was just about to talk!" He retorted, messing his hair up with both of his hands.
"I just thought you seem like a really nice person and you're clearly a huge fan of us, so if your parents are alright with it, we would maybe want to take you with us on maybe a week of our tour since it's now summer break for those of you still in school." Michael told me straight forward.
I could barely comprehend what was happening. He thought I was nice enough to take on tour with them!? I couldn't believe it one bit. I figured it was all a cruel joke.
"Are you serious?" I asked, and Michael nodded. That simple confirmation was almost enough to make me pass out, but I stayed as calm and collected as possible.
"Thank you, but I'm not sure what my parents would say..." I trailed off, aware that Whinnie's parents gave me a great deal of freedom, but also wanted to keep me as safe as humanly possible. Remembering the incident at the hotel made me think they did a piss-poor job at it, but knew it wasn't their fault. It was the fault of those men having no human decency or respect for others.
"This is perfectly understandable, but worth a shot. You can go find them and talk to them and give us an answer in the morning. We leave at noon tomorrow, so maybe around nine or ten we would need to know." Michael explained, sitting back on the couch, the rest of the guys seeming completely on board with this idea.
"How would I get the answer back to you?" I asked, certain that a DM on twitter wouldn't work. They must get at least a million a day.
"Well, if you get an answer tonight then you can just come back to the hotel with us. If you only get it tomorrow and if it is a yes then meet us at McDonald's at nine-thirty. We're certainly going to eat their before we really get on the road." Luke interjected, seeming to know Michael didn't possess the answer.
"Alright, well thank you all so much!" I told them as I got up, heading toward the door to leave and find Whinnie's parents.
I just hoped they would give me the freedom a near seventeen year old held in horrible parenting captivity deserved. They didn't know about my parents, but they treated me like they did.
