—-Stella's POV—-

The bus was delayed today. While everyone was just sitting around talking to friends, I was fretting what would happen when I got home. I tried not to worry about it by plugging in my headphones and turning on my favorite band, 5 Seconds of Summer. I put it on shuffle and listened to "Don't Stop" and nearly instantly drifted off to my own little world, catching myself before becoming an air guitarist.

I scooted even closer to the window and tucked my aqua hair behind my ear. I quickly took out my camera and put it on selfie mode and checked to make sure I was presentable enough. My hair wasn't frizzed out, my eyelashes weren't horribly clumped, my slightly pale skin luckily unblemished, and my very noticeably green eyes had an odd sparkle and shine to them.

I'm having a damn good day. I thought to myself and put my phone away. As I was doing that, the girl sitting in the seat behind me leaned forward and tapped my shoulder. My best friend, Whinnie, looked really excited and lifted her phone so I could see it. I took my earbuds out and turned sideways in my seat to face her and her brother, Allen.

"What is it?" I asked, my voice unusually calm and steady.

"I asked my parents and they said they'd think about it, but I am so close to getting you and me tickets to the 5 Seconds of Summer concert in Ohio next month!" she exclaimed happily.

"That'd be great, but that's pretty far because knowing Ohio it'll be on the far border. Wouldn't we have to stay at a hotel or something?" I asked. Whinnie nodded.

"But you should just be happy I'm doing this for you, Stella. I know how much you love them and I'm neutral about them but whatever I guess I just thought you would want something nice to happen for once," She explained, and I nodded gratefully.

"Oh yeah, just neutral about them, gotcha!" I laughed, knowing her obsession with their drummer all too well. She sat back in her seat, so I turned back and tuned back into my Aussie baby's vocals. My stomach was fluttering around at the thought of actually being able to see 5sos in person, but I knew better than to get my hopes up. My parents would never let me go.

I suppressed a sigh and began humming along to the music, listening intently for Mikey's voice. For some reason, out of the whole band, I favor Mikey, the pale, multi colored, scary one. I remember when I first saw pictures of them I told my friend that he was scary, and when I went to watch their music videos I could only tell who Mikey was judged on if he scared me or not.

Now he's still pretty scary, but I want to brush his hair now and I actually like him a lot. I'm actually considering getting an ombré that goes from purple and ends up in an electric blue, but I didn't know how my parents would like that. They hardly let me get the aqua done.

Before I knew it, the bus was pulling up to my stop. I wrapped my earbuds around my phone, stuffing it in my bag and swinging one strap over my right shoulder as I got up.

"Later, Stella. Don't forget I wanna take you to the concert really badly!" Whinnie called a few seats back. I nodded as she moved up into my seat so she wouldn't have to sit by Allen the whole time.

I took a nervous deep breath at my door and opened it up, stepping inside and carefully and neatly taking my shoes off and placing them in their designated area by the door. I walked into the living room to see my mom getting up from the couch, Dad apparently still at work.

Mom quickly walked over to me and demanded, "Why were you so late getting home? Were you busy getting knocked up? You don't even have a boyfriend or a chance at getting one so what happened?" I opened my mouth to speak, but she quickly reared her hand back and crashed it against my cheek, having such force to make me stagger back a bit. "Goddammit I expect you to answer me when I ask you a question!" She exclaimed angrily.
