—-Stella's POV—-

I was so close to being able to go to the concert.

I hadn't "fucked up" yet. I guess thinking like my parents really helped.

***FLASHBACK***

I had just gotten home from school and Mom and Dad were both home.

"How was your day? Get knocked up yet?" Dad asked over his newspaper.

I shook my head, about to say that I was only 16 and getting "knocked up" was for after marriage which I didn't plan on until after college.

Instead, I thought like my parents right before the first word could slip out.

I knew they liked to put me down, so I decided to put myself down for them.

For the concert.

"No. No guy likes me enough. I don't have the slimmest chance of even getting a boyfriend or close to it." I lied.

Three guys in my grade had crushes on me, but I didn't really like them back that way. One of them I didn't even know.

Dad just nodded. "You got that right troll." He insulted nonchalantly as Mom came in with a cup of black coffee for Dad.

"I couldn't have said it any better myself." She told me before returning to the kitchen around the corner.

If I didn know any better I would've said she complimented me, but that was if I didn't know any better.

I nodded and went up to my room to call Whinnie and tell her I was one step closer to going to the concert.

***END OF FLASHBACK***

I sat in my chair with my headphones plugged in listening to 5sos Good Girls when I heard my parents' footsteps up the stairs over my low music.

I always had my music turned down low at home so I could hear if they were coming or not.

I paused my music and stuffed my headphones in the cushion of the chair.

They say headphones for music is only allowed on long car rides or on the bus.

At least I had the privilege of using them.

My curtain was shoved aside as I got on fruit ninja, another app that they allowed me to have.

"The concert is next week. Still waiting for you to fuck up. Lately the past few weeks you haven't. Why is that?" Dad spoke first.

I shrugged and put my phone down.

"I'm trying my hardest to be good. The concert means a lot to me to possibly see them in real life." I answered, seeing nothing they could get from that.

Mom frowned in her inability to find something to punish me for.

I guess it drove them a little further to find stupid things when they can't for weeks.

"And what are the names of these boys?" Mom asked.

"Luke, Michael, Calum, and Ashton." I answered simply, not going into detail. They would punish me for explaining more than just names.
