I don't get it, man.
I don't get why people get killed
Over color and race, or
Why people feel unwelcomed
And out of place.
I don't get why we need more than we have.
Why we must continue to upgrade and grow,
Like your iPhone 4s doesn't meet status quo.
I don't get why people lie
When it never seems to satisfy.
I don't get why we crave attention;
Doesn't the suspension bring enough tension?
I don't get why we're surrounded yet
Still manage to feel so alone.
I'm the prime example of a girl with no home.
If we want a revolution,
A solution to this pollution,
Then why does no one make an effort
To move around the bend?
I don't get why I stay.
My heart longs elsewhere,
But I'll wait for another day, I'll say.
