have you ever tasted sunlight,
felt it linger beside you
and curl its arms around your waist,
seen the sadness behind those dark golden eyes,
heard the laughter rumble inside your chest?
have you ever inhaled a meadow freshness,
felt the warm translucent waves kiss your skin,
shiver under the brushing of the breeze,
savor the flavor the minty flowers leave on your tongue?
it feels like openness of a field
when you've been constantly stuck in a city.
it tastes like relief
when all you've eaten was disappointment.
it sounds like a soft wind
when it runs through branches and leaves.
it looks as beautiful and dangerous as the sun
and suddenly you are in love.
