~Flashback~
"What are you doing- NO! Why are you doing this?! Do you have any idea what you have done?" Natallia glared down at the Death Eater tattoo that Voldemort had burned into her husband's arm.

And it was now carved into her memory. "Natallia, listen...  Being Death Eaters could give us a better future. (Y/N)'s future! Lord Voldemort had given us more options. We don't have to perish in this shack. We can build a lovely house in the mountains as you've always wanted."

Cassius's mind felt corrupted by power and insanity. He hugged his wife close to his chest. He wanted her to agree. No... He needed her to decide. "But what about (Y/N)? She already finished her second year; you can't just bail on her like that."

"As long as we follow the rules, she'll stay safe. We can carry this out until she graduates." Natallia looked up at the top of the staircase and past the corridor to (Y/N)''s bedroom. She looked down for a moment until giving her husband a swift nod.

Cassius smiled and hugged his wife, "You wait, my dear. We're going to live the greatest life." Natallia nervously smiled and hugged Cassius back. (Y/N) was crawled up in the corner of her bedroom.

She had heard everything. She knew that once she graduates from Hogwarts, she would have to devote her life to being a Death Eater. She didn't want that. She didn't want an arranged marriage.

She didn't want to serve an evil sorcerer. She wanted to live of her own will. Get married by her choice. She wanted to be a Hogwarts teacher. But with her whole future already planned, she couldn't do anything about it.

But that never stopped her from making her own decisions at Hogwarts.

~flashback ends~

The first-year students were bustling into the entrance of Hogwarts as they all gathered in the Great Hall. Professor McGonagall stood at the top of the stairs holding the Sorting Hat as she held up a long scroll containing children's names.

A familiar boy hissed as he traced his finger over the mark indented into his forehead. Harry Potter... Yes, he was very much noticeable at Hogwarts. How could he not? After all, you-know-who made him a legend...

Harry Potter glanced up the teachers' table when he suddenly caught the eye of Severus Snape. Children started lining up, waiting for their names to get called by McGonagall. Up the line and at em' they ran to their assigned tables.

The giant feast appeared like a thousand impressed gasps filled the room of the Great Hall. "He's at it again, isn't he?" Madam Hooch whispered towards the other staff as she gestured towards Snape, filling up his plate and soon running out the back door.

"Well, what do you expect? He's been at it since the incident." McGonagall shook her head as she felt pity for the head of Slytherin. "There must be something we can do, Albus. It's obvious that Snape is not going to quit!"

McGonagall put a hand on Dumbledore's arm, shaking it slightly. "There's nothing we can do at the moment. Snape will have to overcome it, himself." Dumbledore sighed as he was also worried about Snape.

"P-perhaps, I should check on him.?" Quirrell shouted from across the table, catching the teachers' attention. "Thank you, Quirrell, but it'd be best to leave Snape alone, for now." Quirrell internally sent out a dark look but smiled anyway.

Harry Potter slightly eyes the teachers from his table. Not only had his scar been acting up since he got here, but the teachers were hiding something, which made Harry more curious. "Percy, who was that? The teacher that was sitting next to Professor Quirrell?"

"Ah! That, Potter, was Professor Snape. As far as we upperclassmen know, he's been sneaking off to who-knows-where." The Weasley rolled his eyes as Fred and George smirked at each other. "You see that door, Harry?"

"Right over there?" The twins took turns asking the first-year questions before continuing. "Legend says that Professor Snape is protecting something on the right side of the Third-floor Corridor." Fred and George made sinister faces before going back to eating.

"But the right side of the Third-floor Corridor is strictly forbidden to cross. Why would anyone try to set foot in there?" Hermione asked as she was trying to act as if she had made that rule.

"Nobody knows," the twins shrugged their shoulders, not much caring about what Snape was trying to hide. Only for the scares, they want to get out of the students. "I don't want to know, either."

Ron squealed out loud, not wanting, especially Harry, to dig his nose into something that is not their business. "But, what if it's important?" Harry whispered to Ron, who was singing while covering his ears.

"As they said, we should drop it. I don't want to cause anything problematic that'll probably expel us. Besides, we just got here!" Hermione scoffed and looked back down at her food.

Snape's POV
"Looks like they were having (f/f) tonight." I finished eating off my plate as I never chose to leave (Y/N)'s side. "This won't be forever, you know. I promise you; we will be together again." I pulled out the old White Carnation crown that (Y/N) had made for a long time ago.

I put it on the table, containing all of the other flowers I've brought for her. "I should get going. I have patrol tonight. Sleep well..."
