"Rock-a-bye baby, on the tree top,"

I blinked my bloodshot eyes, feeling dizzy and disoriented.

"When the wind blows, the cradle will rock."

My head throbbed and pounded with pain.

"When the bough breaks, the cradle will fall."

What sounded like the loading of a nearby pistol echoed in my ear.

"And down will come baby, cradle, and all."
