Seventeen year old Kasper thought that she had it bad from the very beginning that her therapist read her the results. With extreme panic disorder and sleep insomnia, she struggled to live life peacefully like a normal person.
    
    All of that changed, though, when she got her very first Psychiatric Service Dog, Friday.
    
    Three years later, the two are inseparable. But one day Kasper runs away from her best friend, Elliot's Lacrosse game and goes home, hoping to calm down and pull herself together. After all, home is a place of peace, right? Well not today. An hour into a calming nap, Kasper finds herself violently awoken, drugged, and kidnapped by two petty robbers. But when they find out how much Kasper's father is willing to pay ransom, Kasper begins to have a few questions of her own.
    
    Who is her dad really?
    Will they ever let her go?
