Graham's POV

"No, Louis. I tried calling her. She just isn't answering!" I snapped to the voice on the other line.

"Well, you know that she wasn't feeling very comfortable at the game. Not with that argument with her and the other lady." snapped back the other voice.

"I know she was uncomfortable, but she wouldn't just ignore me like that!" I sighed and pounded on the steering wheel of my Ford F-150 with frustration. You idiot, Graham, I thought to myself, you should have never left her alone! She could have gotten hurt!

"Just calm down, Graham. I am sure she probably just popped back a few sleeping pills and went to bed. She probably didn't even hear the phone ring."

I shook my head. "No, that's not it. Something is wrong! Friday would have woken her up if he heard her phone go off! That is what he is trained to do!"

Louis had said a few more things after that, but I was deafened with fear and anger so I didn't catch a word of it. I eventually just told him that I would call him later and hung up the phone, just as I pulled up into her driveway. The car wasn't out front, and I assured myself that it was just in the garage.

"Kasper? Kas, honey, are you in there?" I said, gently knocking on the front door. No answer. I knocked a little harder and this time shouted, but there was still no response. I didn't even hear Friday bellowing on the other side. Reaching for my pocket, I pulled out the key I had to her house and opened the door.

The keys fell to the floor with a jingle and a plop when I saw inside. All over the floor was broken glass and things had been tossed around. On the floor near the door, I saw Friday laying motionless. His face was all scratched up and a few pieces of glass were wedged in pretty deep to his matted fur. My heart wrenched and I screamed.

"Kasper? Kasper, are you here? Kasper!" I raced through all of the rooms of the house, but there was no sign of her. When I made it to the back office room on the farthest side of the house, I saw that two of the three windows had been busted open, each being barricaded with sharded glass on the floor.

Kasper was gone.

Kasper is gone.

Oh my goodness, where is Kasper?

Ripping out my phone, I dialed a number and put it to my ear. As it rung, I ran back to Friday's aid. I had made it by his side when the other line picked up.

"Hey Graham, how are you today?" Kasper's dad sung over the phone merrily.

I sucked in a deep, painful breath.

"Kasper's gone."

Hey guys, sorry about the super short chapter! I am sure you are all very anxious to read what is next, but first I would like to say some things.

1) This is my first book on Wattpad. I am very new to the system and I am trying my best to keep up with everything. I am apologizing in advance for if any delays are to occur. (I will notify you all as early as I can if a delay is or may be approaching.

2) I am not always near a computer, so I may end up doing a few of my chapters over my cellphone and I don't know how well that will work out yet. If I end up writing a chapter over my phone, I will mention it before the chapter begins.

3) I also just wanted to say thank you to all of the people who are reading my book. I have gotten a lot more views within the first 24 hours than I had expected, and I hope that I can keep you guys happy! You all are awesome, and it would be much appreciated if you spread the word of my book on to others! Thank you! My regard for you all is very, very deep!

Thank you! Have a great day/night!
